Gabbar Singh Movie Review

“Naaku konchem tikkundi…daaniko lekkundi” This summer, Gabbarsingh has come to Silver Screen to check out all “Lekkalu” with his version of Hindi blockbuster “Dabbangg”. Harishshanker who directed “Mirapakai” handles the ‘Mega’phone. Sruthi Hassan is our Sonakshi Sinha…!!

Plot: Story is all about a little “Tikka” Police officer Gabbarsingh in the village of Kondaveedu…It’s all about his rivalry with evil Gangster Sivappa (Abhimanyu singh) and his romance with his girl friend BhagyaLaxmi(Sruthi Hassan) and his bonding with his mother(Suhasini) and his step brother(Ajay) and Step dad(Nagineedu)…..So its story of GabbarSingh in one word….

Pawan Kalyan…Pawan Kalyan..Pawan Kalyan…
Only one name…that rings in mind….while watching the film…While laughing loud…while enjoying the scenes…and while finally walking out of theatre….It’s the movie that has Pawan in full swing after a lot while. Loads of One Liner’s …punches…”Nenu aakasam laantodini…not a passing cloud” ..”Naa fans chepithe…Nenu Cheppinatte””Nenu Trend Follow avvanu..Trend set chestaa”. Pawan shakes leg with full enthu to satisfy his fans….leaves his signature on each frame…Fans asked for rain, but since Gabbarsingh has got some tikka..he gave thunderstorm…

Sruthihasan is limited but is cute enough and makes nice pair to pawan. Her Dubbing should have been better…it takes some time to get to it. Suhasini and Nagineedu are great. Ajay is very limited than the hindi version. Sad to see happy days “Gayathri” as vamp.
AbhimanyuSingh and Tanikella Bharani make good evil pair….Tanikella bharani’s villainous timing scores while Abhimanyu’s stature fits the bill. Rao Ramesh has good screen presence…
Kota has got Mandu baabulu song…While Ali aptly plays Gabbar Singh’s Samba…and Brahmanandam shines especially in a scene where he takes Pawan’s Cut-out.
And you should see…All rowdies are super cute….you should watch the movie..why I said “Cute”

Harish shanker re-colored Dabangg….
People might not like a “makki to makki” remake…And the director’s talent lies in cleverly using the original. Harish shanker does that fantastically and shows how good he is. He Utilized Pawan’s comic timing, penned excellent dialogues…And Watch that hilarious “Anthakshari” episode in police station… and nice “Kabaddi” fight…  And then superbly choreographed Action sequences and rightly executed sentiment scenes. All clicked well, Hats-Off Harish!!

Songs and Cinematography!!
Jayanan Vincent rocked the cinematography. Devi Sri Prasad’s songs are already chartbusters…and all songs are pleasant on screen…. “Pilla” song should have been pictured in village atmosphere…And coming to Kevvu Keka, More than Malaika Arora..Pawan’s entrance in that song was more “Kevvu Keka”…"Mandu Baabulu" should have been full length song.

Both the halves “Kevvu Keka”
Nice artistes are chosen for all the characters..and entertainment is never missed in both halves. While First half is more on fun side…blended with romance and rivalry…Second one plunges into slight sentiment while not missing the tempo…Climax is not dragged and ended in very pleasant note…Few scenes in second half are altered for good..(like the Marriage scene..and brother’s role is cut short to elevate more of Gabbarism)

Finally
I call it “Film of Pawan”. A remake rightly molded….and you seriously feel the nativity…A multiple watch for fans..and a good watch for entertainment lovers….

Rating
