Manam Movie Review

 అక్కినేని వారి మూడు తరాలు నటించిన ఓ మరపురాని మైలురాయి "మనం " . మనని దశాబ్దాలుగా అలరించిన నటసామ్రాట్ నాగేశ్వర రావు గారిని మరో సారి తెర మీద చూసుకునే అవకాశాన్ని కల్పించిన మధురానుభూతి "మనం" . 

"మనం " ఓ సారి ఈ "మనం" ఎలా ఉందొ ఒక్క సారి లుక్కెద్దామ్ ... 

కథ నేను చెప్పనండి ... 

కొన్ని కథలు కొందరి కోసం పెట్టి పుడతాయేమో ... ఇలా మూడు తరాలని కలుపుకు పోయే అత్యధ్బుతమయిన కథ "మనం" .. ఒక్క మాట లో చెప్పాలంటే మన ప్రాణాలకి ఉన్న పరిమితి మనసుకి .. ప్రేమకి లేదని చాటి చెప్పే "మరు జన్మల" కథ మనం ... 

అక్కినేని .. అక్కినేని .. అక్కినేని 

#ANRLIVESON మనం .... అక్కినేని నాగేశ్వర రావు మన మధ్యే ఉన్నారనిపిస్తుంది "మనం" చూస్తున్నంత సేపు ... అరె ఈ తాగుబోతులందరు ఆ దేవదాసు పేరే వాడాలా .. ఆ రోజుల్లో నేను ఎంత రొమాన్సు చేసానో నీకేం తెలుసు అని చెప్తుంటే ప్రేక్షకుల కంటి పొరల్లో ఓ చిన్న పాటి తడి జ్ఞాపకం వచ్చే ఉంటుంది .. 

నిజ జీవితం లో లాగానే అటు తరానికి ఇటు తరానికి వంతెన లాంటి పాత్ర నాగార్జునది . సినిమా పరంగా చూస్తె నాగ చైతన్య కి ఆరేళ్ళు పెద్దగా ఉండే రోల్ నవ మన్మధుడు నాగార్జున విజ్రంభించాడు .. తన భుజాల మీద సినిమాని నడుపుతూ ఆ అక్కినేని .. అక్కినేనంత వారసుడిని అనిపించుకున్నాడు .. 

తాత గారితో కలిసి ఇలా సరదాగా నటించే అవకాశం నాగ చైతన్య కి అపురూపమైన వరం .. వరం ఎందుకంటే ఒక్క సారి .. ఒకే సారి లభించింది కనుక .. సీరియస్ సీన్స్ చాలా బాగా చేసాడు చైతూ .. కాని జోవియల్ సీన్స్ ఇంకా మెరుగవ్వాలి ... 

శ్రీయ నాగార్జున కి జోడిగా  పర్ఫెక్ట్ గా కుదిరింది . పెద్ద హీరోలు చిన్న పిల్లల వెంట పడకుండా నిన్నటి హీరోయిన్ల తో జత కడితే ఆ కెమిస్ట్రీ ఏ వేరు .. రెండు రకాల పాత్రల్లో తనలోని నటిని మరో సారి చూపించింది శ్రీయ . 

సమాంత చైతు హిట్ పెయిర్ అనిపించుకున్నారు మరో సారి .. You Finally Love ( ట్రైలర్ లో ఉంటుంది ఆ బిట్ ) అనే సీన్ లో ఎంత క్యూట్ గా చేసిందో .. సినిమా మొత్తం అంత అందంగా కూడా ఉంది ..  

బ్రహ్మానందం .. ఎమ్మెస్ ..ఆలి  .. పోసాని .. సప్తగిరి తలా ఓ నవ్వు పూయించారు .. అక్కినేని అమల, అమితాబ్ బచ్చన్ తలుక్కున మెరిసారు ... 

విక్రం కుమార్ .. అండ్ అనూప్ రుబెన్స్ మీకు జోహార్లు .. 

ఇన్నాళ్ళు ఒక లాంటి కథలకి అలవాటు పడ్డాం .. ఇలాంటి ఓ కథ ఉంటుందా అనిపించేలా రాసావు Thank You . ఇంటర్వెల్ కి కథ అర్థమైనా .. తరువాత మలుపులు .. ప్రేమ కథ ల తో ఎక్కడా బోర్ కొట్టించలేదు .. మూడు తరాలని కలుపుకు పోయే సంభాషణలు రాసిన విక్రమ్ హర్షవర్ధన్ లకి హాట్స్ ఆఫ్ . అనూప్ ఇచ్చిన అన్ని పాటలు సినిమా చూసాక మరింత నచ్చాయి .. "ఇది  ప్రేమ ప్రేమ " ఇంకా మోగుతుంది బాక్గ్రౌండ్ లో .. PS వినోద్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ హృద్యం గా ఉంది .. 

నెగటివ్ .. 

ఇలాంటి ఓ సెక్షన్ ఒద్దనుకున్నా .. కాని సుమంత్ సుశాంత్ అండ్ అక్కినేని కుటుంబం లోని నటులని చిన్న చిన్న గెస్ట్ రోల్స్ లో ఉన్నట్టయితే బాగుండేది అనిపించింది .. 

రేటింగ్ 

సినిమా ఎంత గా నచ్చింది అంటే 100 లోంచి అసలు ఓ 10 అన్నా తీయ్యాలా అని ఆలోచిస్తే .. ఏమో ఇంత కన్నా మంచి సినిమాలు ఒస్తాయి అని ఆశ ఉండటం తప్పు కాదు కదా .. సో 85/100 

దాదా సాహెబ్ నట సామ్రాట్ అక్కినేని గారికి ఘన నివాళి మనం .. మరో యువ కెరటానికి పునాది మనం .. :) !!!!!!!!!

Race Gurram movie review

Summer is getting hotter... and so is the heat at the box-office. This week we have another biggie “Race Gurram” starring stylish star Allu Arjun. And Director Surrender Reddy carries the megaphone. Let’s see how fast it ran...

Plot: The movie is about two brothers Ram and Lakshman... Unlike their names, these brothers always fight over each and every thing. While Ram is sincere police officer, Lakshman who likes to be called Lucky aims to go to USA. The interference of wicked Politician turned Rowdy Sivareddy (Ravi Kishan) in their lives is to be seen on the screen.

Actors:

Blend of Action, comedy loaded with mischievousness is the perfect signature style of Allu Arjun.  This time too Allu boy matches to the speed of the role and justifies the title. Dances are moderate this time.He gets his oota padam "Deavudaa" perfectly in all situations.

Sruthi Haasan is lovable as Spandana. She puts on that smile on us without actually smiling or actually with absolutely no spandana for some time in the first half( That’s her role).

Director Surrender Reddy who made Sham, the “Kikk” Sham, once again gives an important role of Ram to Sham. Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan is fine. Not a superb export.

Prakashraj gets a chance to do comedy, a slight variation for relief. Posani gets very good one… Good in both ways, in entertaining and carrying forward the movie. Mukesh Rishi is passive. Saloni shines in Telangana dialect.

MS Narayana and hero’s friends’ batch are adequate. Ali is continuity from kikk. And I dare not forget Kill Bill Pandey our Brahmanandam. .. Who comes towards end when all of us just about to forget him or miss him... and he just loads the theatre with loud laughs all at once.

Surrender Reddy back after Kikk

While his debut “Athanokkade” is serious film, Surrender Reddy gained the stand with an Action-comedy Kikk. So Director keeps his strength in mind and plays well with skills he has. Conflict between brothers holds the attention throughout the film. Comedy is added via heroine’s family in first half and laughs just explode with Brahmanandam as Killbill Pandey. Few directors know when this talented Brahmanandam should be called on screen and how to “use” him. And the Tiff between the villain and the hero too is written differently in a “Racy” manner. There is so much in paper and hence we have to sit little more time in theatre.

Vakkantham Vamsi gives decent script and Surrender Reddy exemplifies it perfectly with his screenplay. Thaman gives a good album this time. “Boochaade”, “Sweety”, “Cinema choopista maava” and “Down Down duppa” are chartbusters are ok on screen. My favorite is the duet “Gala Gala” shot in picturesque locations.

Minus

What come towards the climax with the entry of Brahmi is one way extremely fun and other way too and too cinematic. I could complain about the length of the film, especially if it is of course a regular entertainer.

On a whole…

One can see the flashes of Trivikram... Nevertheless Surrender Reddy is back in form. He tells a seemingly predictable tale in full speed screenplay. Decent first half, nice scenes post interval and hilarious and extremely cinematic pre-climax and a wholesome lighter vein entertainer. So you can safely add this to your to-do list if you have leisure weekend. I could even sense a social responsibility as bonus towards the end.

67/100 Now don’t ask me how you came up with this number... It’s just a number that comes to my mind and I want you to just forget this little score immediately after you see it... ;)

Balayya Legend Movie Review

కొన్ని కాంబినేషన్ లు కలవడం లోనే విజయాలు ఖరారైపోతాయి .. ఒకప్పుడు బి గోపాల్ బాలయ్య కాంబినేషన్ ఎంత పాపులరో .. ఇప్పుడు బోయపాటి - బాలయ్య కలయిక అంతే . హిట్టు కి  హిట్టు కొంత గ్యాప్ ఇచ్చే బలయ్యకి మరో బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ టైం ఒచ్చింది అని అభిమానులు బలంగా నమ్మారు..  ఈ సమ్మర్ లో అతి పెద్ద సినిమా .. అలాగే నిప్పుకి గాలి తోడైనట్టు .. బాలయ్య ప్రతాపానికి ఎలక్షన్ల వేడి సహకరించటం తో మొదటి ఆట నుండే "లెజెండ్" సినిమా ఊపు అందుకుంటోంది . 

కథ 

కుటుంబానికి దూరంగా దుబాయ్ లో ఉండే సిదార్ధ ( చిట్టి బాలయ్య) తను ప్రేమించిన అమ్మాయి ని వెంటబెట్టుకొని ఇండియా ఒస్తాడు . వైజాగ్ లో అడుగు పెట్టగానే అక్కడి లోకల్ డాన్ జితేంద్ర ( జగపతి) కొడుకుతో తగాదా పడతాడు . సిద్ధార్ధ ని వెతికే చంపుదామనుకున్న సమయంలో జయదేవ్ ( పెద్ద బాలయ్య) సింహం లా ఎంటరవుతాడు .. ఇంతకీ సిద్దార్ధ కి జైదేవ్ ఏమవుతాడు .. జయదేవ్-జితేంద్రల పగ తాలూకు ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ రెండో సగం ... 

బాలయ్యా .... మజాకా 

బాలయ్య కి ఎలాంటి డైలాగులు పడాలి ... బాలయ్య ఎలాంటి విగ్గు వెయ్యాలి .. ఎలాంటి కథ రాయాలి .. ఇవి తెలిసిన డైరెక్టర్లని వేళ్ళ మీద లెక్క పెట్టొచ్చు . బోయపాటి వాటిల్లో Phd చేసుంటాడు . సింహ లో రెండు పాత్రలు మీద మనసు పెట్టిన బోయపాటి ఈసారి మొత్తం రెండో హాఫ్ లో ఉన్న జయదేవ్ మీదే ప్రాణం పెట్టాడు ... సీరియస్ ఎమోషన్స్ .. సెంటిమెంట్ సీన్స్ లో తనని మించిన హీరో లేడు అనేంత లా బాలయ్య బాబు ఈ సినిమాలో విజ్రంబించాడు . మొదటి సగం లోది  చిన్న రోల్ అయినా బ్రహ్మానందం , హీరోయిన్  తో నడిచే కామెడీ ట్రాక్ లో పరవాలేదనిపించాడు .  ఇంటర్వెల్ నుంచి ఇంకో లోకం లోకి తీసుకెళతాడు బాలయ్య . "చూడు నన్నే చూడు " అనేలా దాదాపు అంతా  తానే అయ్యాడు ... ఆడవారి గురించి చెప్పే సీన్ .. అలాగే మరదలి తో ఒచ్చే భారి సెంటిమెంట్ సీన్ , జగపతి తో పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ ముందు సీన్ ..బాగా పండాయి . 

డైలాగులు .. ఫైట్లు .. నేపధ్య సంగీతం 

ట్రైలర్ లో డైలాగులు జస్ట్ శాంపిల్ లో పదో వంతే ... సినిమాలో పదునైన మాటలు కోకొల్లలు రాసారు ఎమ్. రత్నం .. " నీకు BP ఒస్తే నీ PA భయపడతాడెమొ .. నాకు బప్ ఒస్తే AP షేక్ అవుద్ది .. రాజకీయం నీ ఫుడ్డు లో ఉందేమో .. నాకు బ్లడ్ లోనే ఉంది రా బ్లెడి ఫూల్ .. నీ జీవితం ఢిల్లీ నుంచి వచ్చే cover లో ఉందేమో .. నా బలం నాకున్న power లో ఉంది . "అయినవాళ్ళకి ఎమన్నా అయితే అరగంట పట్టుద్దేమో కాని .. ఆడపిల్ల ఆపదలో ఉంటె ఆ క్షణంలో ఒస్తా " అతడికి జనం అనే మాట వినిపిస్తే మనం నేది మర్చిపోతాడు " అబ్బో బాలయిసమ్ అనే బూక్కు రాయోచు . లాస్ట్ లో పొలిటికల్ లీడర్ అంటాడు .. సచిన్ ఫీల్డ్ లో దిగితే 100 రన్స్ కొట్టాలి ... అదే రాజకీయ నాయకుడు కనీసం 100 C  నొక్కాలి ... అనేది జనం ఫిక్స్ అయిపోయారని .. 

ఇంటర్వెల్ ముందు ఫైట్ .. గుర్రం మీద ఫైట్ .. రైల్వే ట్రాక్ మీద ఓ ఎమోషనల్ ఫైట్ ఒకటికి మించింది ఇంకోటి .. పాటలు పెద్ద గొప్పగా ఇవ్వాలేదు కాని .. దేవిశ్రీ కనీసం బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ బాగా ఇచ్చాడు . 

ఫామిలీ హీరో గా చేసిన జగపతి బాబు ఇంత విలనీ చేయటం గొప్ప విషయం . కానీ డైరెక్టర్ ఎక్కడా  కూడా జగపతికి పై చెయ్యి ఇవ్వలేదు . సినిమాలో జయప్రకాశ్ చెప్పినట్టు ఎప్పుడో పోయేవాడు ఏదో విధంగా చివరిదాకా బండి లాగినట్టు అనిపించింది రోల్ .  

సోనాల్ చౌహాన్ పర్లేదు .. మరి  సినిమాలు ఒస్తాయొ రావో తెలిదు . రాధిక ఆప్టే కూడా పర్లెదు.. నయనతారకి ఉన్నంత గొప్ప రోల్ కాదు . కె. ఆర్. విజయ ప్లేస్ లో కొత్త బామ్మ ఒచ్చింది . 

చివరగా 

సింహ లాంటి ఫార్ములా కథ .. దాని చుట్టు అల్లుకున్న అలాంటి స్క్రీన్ ప్లే .. అందుకే ఏ సీన్ కూడా ఇది భలే కొత్తగా ఉందే అనిపించదు .. కానీ ఎలక్షన్ టైం ఒచ్చేసరికి రాజకీయ నాయకులు చేసిన చెత్త పనులు మనం ఎలా మర్చిపోతామో .. ప్రేక్షకుడి గా పాత సినిమాలో చూసిన విషయాలు కొత్త బొమ్మ థియేటర్లో పడగానే మర్చిపోతాం .. బాలయ్య అంటే ఇష్టపడేవారు కోరుకునే సినిమా .. సంక్రాంతి సీజన్లో తరువాత చూడదగ్గ పెద్ద సినిమా .. 

రాజకీయానికి సంబందించిన ఎపిసోడ్ సినిమా కి ఎక్కువైనా .. ఈ ఎలక్షన్ టైం లో సూపర్ గా పండింది . పెద్ద ఎన్టీఆర్ క్లిప్పింగ్స్ కేక

Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda (PPT) Movie review

So now its time for Manchu’s multistarrer “Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda”. Though Dr. Mohan babu acted with his sons in flashy flash back roles before, since he teamed up with both the sons on the screen for first time.. you can safely call it an another family multistarrer . Just brief thoughts on the movie..

Plot :

As many know the plot of Golmaal 3 .. 3 orphans are raised by a bangkok tourist guide Mohan babu and 2 other by Raveena Tandon . 5 of them unite the old lovers making them mom and Dad and thus a happy family.

Villians appear for interval bang and take away the heroine hansika.. And now it’s the time for Manchu family to conveniently get into villians hub in disguise and teach them a lesson…

Golmaal3 + NarthanaSala ..

Two plots in one film is latest trend now.. as last seen in Yevadu.. I remember darling and Nayak too did that. If it is Golmaal 3 alone for 3 hours, I would not even bother to kill my time again in theatre.

Entire Golmaal 3 is shown quickly in first half with good speed with songs only being loud speed breakers. No one would even call them songs which made even Thamans songs sound better. Sentiment worked better here as real time father and sons reprised the roles. Xerox copy scenes like ones where five of them make some imitations in drawing room should have been avoided.

Now post interval.. the routine writers brought the DVD of Narthanasala and tried adopting it in their very regular “Dee-Rea-Dee” style. Manchu Manojs lady attire as Mohini, Mohanbabu’s strong screen presence and of course our confused Brahmi lighten up this half . Presence of Varun sandesh,vennela Kishore,Tanish and Pranitha on board nicely filled each frame .

One on one..

When I heard long back about this remake, I thought and was afraid, Mohanbabu garu might chose Ajay devagan ‘s role in Golmaal3. Good to see, he chose to play father. And that brought lot of charm and dialogues written for him are extremely good. He conveys how First Rank students become Doctors and engineers and how failed guys become politicians and how even bad students turn astrologers. Watch many of such sort on-screen.

Manoj suited perfectly for mohini.. He could evoke laughter in most of his scenes. Vishnu is fine and convincing. Good Varun sandesh understood to make some money being part in the crowd.

Hansika has got lengthy role. She trimmed down and acted well. Success brings some charm and that is clearly seen on Pranitha. Raveena is apt pair to the collection King.

Brahmananandam can still bring few laughs though he did this zillion times. Liked the scene where he is made to sit like Gandhari. Supreet is better among the villain gang.

Summing up…

Srivas who directed Lakshyam etc previously utilized this opportunity reasonably. Few scenes having Manoj and Brahmi,Supreet are hilarious. Few dialogues for mohan babu are great. Out of all songs “Acha teluganti” on Manoj-Praneetha is better. On a whole, did I expect more?

Yevadu Movie Review

కారణాలు ఏవైతేనేం ... ఎప్పుడో రావాల్సిన ఎవడు .. మొత్తానికి సంక్రాంతి గిత్త లా ముస్తాబయ్యి బరిలోకి దిగింది . తండ్రి లాగే మాస్ ప్రేక్షకులని ఆకట్టుకున్న 'చిరు'త'నయుడు రామ్ చరణ్ కిది ఏడో  సినిమా . ఈ 'ఏడు' పవన్ ఫాన్స్ కి 'ఖుషి'నిచ్చింది,   మహేష్ కి ఒక్కడయ్యింది  .. ఎన్టీఆర్ ని సింహాద్రి ని చేసింది. మరి చరణ్ ని ఏం  చేసిందో చూద్దాం . 

కథ ( సినిమా చూడకుండా చదివేస్తే ఎలా అని  కంగారు పడాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు )

సత్య ( అల్లు అర్జున్) .. దీప్తి (కాజల్) ప్రేమించుకుంటారు . దీప్తి సినిమా హీరోయిన్ లా అందం గా ఉంటుంది కాబట్టి వీరుభాయి(రాహుల్ దేవ్) అనే విలన్  ఓ కన్నేస్తాడు . ఈ సినిమాలో అల్లు వారబ్బాయి హీరో కాదు కాబట్టి దీప్తి తో సహా అతన్నిపొడిచేస్తారు . కాని అనూహ్యంగా కోన ఊపిరి తో ఉన్న అర్జున్ సినిమాటిక్ గా ( ప్లాస్టిక్ సర్జరీ) సహాయం తో  రామ్ (రాంచరణ్ ) లా మారతాడు . 

ఇక త్వరత్వరగా అతని పగ ఎలా తీర్చున్నాడు ... అలాగే తనకి అతికించిన చరణ్ అనే ఇంకో కుర్రాడి గతం తాలూకు వ్యవహారాలని ఎలా చక్కదిద్దాడో తెలియాలంటే 'ఎవడు' చూడాల్సిందే . 

మాస్ అంటే చరణ్ .. చరణ్ అంటే మాస్ 

రచ్చ .. నాయక లాంటి సాదా సీదా కథల్ని హిట్లు గా మలిచాడు రామ్ చరణ్ . పాటల్లో కళ్ళు చెదిరే స్టెప్పులు ... గుండాల్ని చితకొట్టే ఫైట్లు .. చరణ్ కి 'జీన్స్' తో పెట్టిన విద్య . తన పేరుని రెండు ముక్కలుగా చేసిన రెండు పాత్రల్లో చెర్రీ ఒక మాస్ హీరో ఎలా చెయ్యాలో .. అంత  కంటే ఒక అడుగు ఇంకా ముందుకేసి సూపర్బ్ అనిపించుకున్నాడు . ఎప్పుడు ఒకేలాంటి కథలు కావాలనుకుంటే చరణ్ కి మగధీర వచ్చేది కాదు ... మాస్ సినిమాల్లో ఇంకొంచెం వైవిద్యం చూపించాలి  జుస్త్ ప్లాస్టిక్ సర్జరీ సరిపోదు . కొన్నిస్టెప్పులు చిరంజీవి లా చేసాడు జస్ట్ సరదాగా . బాబాయి పవన్ మీద అభిమానం చాటుకున్నాడు "చే గోవేరా" బుక్కు చదువుతూ .. ప్రియురాలితో గబ్బర్ సింగ్ చూస్తూ !!

బావ మరుదులు బావల బ్రతుకు కోరతారు .. అచ్చు మన అల్లు అర్జున్ లా 

ఎం చేస్తాం హీరో ఓరియెంటెడ్ సినిమాలు, కమల్ హాసన్ తనయ శృతి  కూడా పాటకి రెండు నిమషాలు అటు ఇటు మాత్రమె స్క్రీన్ మీద కనిపించింది . కానీ ఆమెకి ఇంకా ఓ మూడు పాటలు ఇస్తే బాగుంది అనిపిస్తుంది . చాలా రోజుల్లయ్యింది చూసి కాబోలు ... కాజల్ భలే ముద్దోచ్చింది . అమీ జాక్సన్ రాబోయే శంకర్ సినిమాలో సింగల్ హీరోయిన్ అంటే నమ్మడం కష్టం . బీచ్ సాంగ్ లో తన వంతు కృషి చేసింది . 

సాయికుమార్ కి మరి ఇంత పెద్ద సినిమా ఎందుకో ఎవరు ఇవ్వలేదు . రెగ్యులర్ విలన్ పాత్రే అయినా తన స్ధాయికి తగట్టుగా చేసి ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు . కోట వాడుకున్నోల్లకి వాడుకున్నంత . "పిల్లి గుడ్డిదయితే ఎలుక నిక్కరిప్పి డాన్సులు ఎసిందట " అలాగే క్లైమాక్స్ లో " చూస్కో పళ్ళ" అని ఆయన చెప్తే ఎవ్వరైనా నవ్వాల్సిందే . 

జయసుధ హుందాగా చేసింది . ఇప్పుడైతే నడియాని తీస్కోనే వారేమో !! బ్రహ్మానందం ఉండాలి కాబట్టి ఉండటమే . ఒక మాస్ సినిమాలో ట్రైలర్ లో పోస్టర్ లో .. ఆయన పేస్ కనపడాల్సిందే !!

 అరె నాకు అన్ని ముందే తెలిసిపోతున్నాయి !!!

ఈ సినిమా చూస్తున్నప్పుడు నాకేవో అతీత శక్తులు ఒచ్చెసాయి ... లేక పోతే హీరోయిన్ ఇలా రాగానే .. అప్పుడు కచ్చితంగా ఏ పాట రాబోతుందో ముందే కనిపెట్టేసా !! హీరోని విలన్ ఒక క్లిష్టమైన పరిస్థితి లో పడేసినప్పుడు హీరో ఎం చేస్తాడని అనుకున్నానో చరణ్ అదే చేసాడు ... భలే భలే !! విలన్ ఒచ్చి ఊరోల్లని బెదిరించినపుడు ముందు ఎవరు ఎదిరిస్తారో నాకు ముందే తెలుసు..  మీరు ఒకసారి పరీక్షించు కొండి .. 

ఎంత రొటీన్ గా ఉన్నా ... 

సినిమాలో రెండు కథలున్నాయి రెండు కొత్తవేం కాదు ... కాని వంశి పైడిపల్లి మాత్రం చాలా చకచక చెప్పేసాడు రెండు కథల్ని . మొదటి సగం లో ఎక్కడ సాగ దీకుండా హీరో పగ పూర్తిగా చల్లారిపోతుంది . ఈ సగం లో మెయిన్ హీరోయిన్ , విలన్ అసలు కనిపించరు.. సో ఇంకా ఏదో ఉండే ఉంటుంది అనే ఎదురుచూపులో ఇంటర్వెల్ బెల్ మోగింది . రెండో సగం లో న్యాయ పోరాటం . సాయికుమార్ , కోట, జయసుధ ... ముగ్గురు తలా ఒక చెయ్యి వేసారు . 

దేవిశ్రీప్రసాద్ ఇచ్చిన అన్ని పాటలు చూడటానికి బాగున్నాయి . నీ జతలొ నెనుండాలి ..ఇక నుంచి వన్ ఆఫ్ ది మొస్ట్ ఫావోరెట్ సాంగ్ నాకు

సరే పండక్కి ఏ సినిమా చూడాలి .. 

రోజు ఇంట్లో అదే ఫుడ్డు తినే నాలాంటోడు ఒకడు .. ఈ పండక్కి వెరైటీ గా ఏదన్న తిందామని ఓ 1Talian రెస్టారెంట్ కి వెళ్ళాడు .. మెనూ చూస్తె అన్ని కొత్త పేర్లు అలవాటు లేని తిండాయే .. నోటికొచ్చింది ఆర్డర్ చేసాడు .. కొత్త ఫుడ్డు కదా ....కొంచెమ్ కొత్తగా .. కొంచెం పిచ్చిగా అనిపించింది .. పైగా అసలు మసాలాలు లేవు .. ఏదో లా తినేసి అదే ఎలా ఉందొ కూడా అర్ధం కాకుండా ఇంటికొచ్చేసాడు .

 ఇంకా ఆకలేస్తుంది .. సో ఎం చేస్తాం రాత్రికి బిరియాని పాయింట్ కి వెళ్ళాడు . చాలా సార్లు అక్కడ బిరియాని తినేసినా ఎప్పటి లాగానే ఉన్నా ... ఆకలి ఎస్తుంది మరి సర్డుకోక తప్పలేదు . కడుపు నిండింది .. కాక పొతే మసాలాలు దంచికోట్టినట్టునారు కడుపులో కొంచెం మండింది . 

ఇంటి కొచ్చాక పడుకుంటే అనిపించింది .. ఈ పండగలు "ఎవడు" కనిపెట్టాడు రా బాబు అని 

ఫైనల్ గా .. 

మాస్ హీరో మంత్రం మరో సారి పని చేసే ఛాన్స్ ఉంది . పాటలు, చరణ్ +స్టార్ కాస్ట్ 'ఎవడు' హై లైట్స్ .   టైం పాస్ కోసం నాలాగే మీరు చూసెయ్యండి రెండు సినిమాలు !!

1 Nenokkadine Review

Time for Sankaranthi, the 1^ST festival of the year... and so is the time for the 1^st biggie of the year and it is aptly called as 1-Nenokkadine. Superstar Maheshbabu teams up with the Sukumar who just not follows the regular path and has made his signature films and created a niche for himself. Let’s see how the ‘1’ shaped out... a psychological thriller as many say.

Basic plot: Gowtham (Mahesh babu) is the rock star. While he earned lot of fame and craze, he is constantly searching for the killers of his parents. In the very first scene he chases the guy who killed his parents and kills him. But the video footage of the murder shows he is in an illusion that he is actually killing someone. Does he really have the brutal past? Did he killed or still searching the killers? He has to find the truth which the whole world treats as false. Sameera a journalist gives him the support in his search.

Gowtham turns Ghajini…

1- Nenokkadine surely might be a regular revenge story but the completely different narration and twisted characterization of the hero makes the difference. Almost an hour into the film, hero struggles to figure out what is truth and what is hallucination and whether he has to stick to the truth his inner self believed or go with the world which do not believed it.

Maheshbabu yet again gives the best shot as Gowtham. Mahesh has got the chiseled look for the first time. A Charming Rock star, a man seeking to avenge his parent’s death… and a guy trying hard to find his roots, He excels in each variation. All in all, he is actor first and Mahesh proves it again. And lastly Mahesh tries little to dance this time... But as we know those who are called superstars never danced.

Little prince Gowtham made an entry into this glitter world. He is cute and has got that signature running style of his dad.

Krithi Sanan makes the mark. She is beautiful and as in most Sukumars films has a role to play and not just for the songs. Time should tell, whether she goes places in the tinsel town.

Kelli Dorge for the first time I guess not used the helicopters. Nazar gets special role. Posani gives few smiles.  

Math’s Teacher Partially scores..!!

Tamil Director Bala shows his artists without the makeup in a very realistic manner. In a similar fashion, this teacher turned director Sukumar always creates his hero with a peculiar brain. 1 obviously has got a complex screenplay, and Sukumar surely confuses the audience a bit, but finally drives us home. There are lots of superbly executed scenes. The interval scene is the best of all. There is pinch of suspense and pinch of tragedy…. But comedy a big miss. Sukumar’s intellectual movies only clicked with audience if blended with entertainment. Aarya and 100% love are the examples and we know the fate of rest.

Other ingredients 

 Action sequences are crisp and great. Lorry crash in London, Steamer chase in Goa and the bike sequences are good to watch on screen. 2 Songs which are good on audio “Who are you” and “Aau tuzho moh karta” are beautiful on screen. Devi Sri Prasad and Sukumar first time fails on the Item song. DSP gives a different background score this time. Editing is crisp and Cinematography top notch.

Finally…

We many a times complain about being routine and sometimes seek variety. So ‘1’ is slightly different no doubt, but it should have been little more entertaining and gripping. Give ‘1’ a shot for Mahesh and for the twisted narration and for the technical values of the film.

DHOOM3 REVIEW

It’s been just 3 days .. And Dhoom 3 already has joined the elated 100 crores club and still Dhooming to break all the records so far happened in Indian cinema. Apart from sizzling babes and “unbelievable” stunts, Dhoom series USP is its protagonist and here it means the opposite, the villain of the movie. It started with John Abraham to Hrithik Roshan… And finally it had Mr. Perfectionist Aamir khan and that’s obviously the reason for Dhoom laughing loud at the Box office.

Dhoom has a story to tell…

Dhoom this time had little story to tell. Iqbal khan (Jackie Shroff) who runs Great Indian Circus in Chicago could not impress bankers with his best trick and thereby commits suicide. Iqbal’s son Sahir decides to pull down the Western bank of Chicago and begins to loot its branches bringing their stocks down.  Jai Dixit and Ali (Dhoom’s cop duo) has to do it in desi style to unveil the mystery of the greatest trick of Indian circus and thereby the robberies.

Aamir all its way…(Spoilers ahead)

With Aamir playing the lead, there should be something a twist in the script that at least gets his nod to the Dhoom which is otherwise more a style than substance. And the twist unfolds in between revealing that there are not one Aamir, but two, one Sahir and other hidden Samar, who is slightly challenged. All is well between the twins till Aliya(Katrina) joins the circus. Samar who fights for his identity and wants to be recognized by Aliya and no more over shadowed by his twin brother. Who better than Aamir can bring such a conflict so convincingly on screen? Of course Aamir has done many times the better roles previously but a small divergence in his role is hell of an act for his fans like us.

Katrina plays Aliya. In the year ruled by Deepika, Katrina has got this last chance to make her presence felt. Though she gets very few scenes, she captures the attention with the songs “Kamli” and “Malang Malang” . Unlike other Dhooms , this time she is only the actress and she might be lucky enough to be part of highest grosser.

Abhishek does his part just like other Dhooms. And Uday chopra who comes out of the den for Dhoom exclusively brings few laughs. Jackie shroffs and the Kid playing young Aamir are so effective.

Two sides of Dhoom…

Aamir’s BMW bike running on a rope… and Abhishek smashing Gunda’s and breaking walls with an auto... These kind of bombastic stunts in very few minutes into the film has given a very clear picture of what’s in store for us. Aamir’s bike even turns into Boat and goes up and down deep into the water and even flies in the sky. These kind of gravity defying stunts are first of its kind and even outlaws the direst stunts of some south Indian movies.

And on other side we had Aamir in the role of Samar... In those scenes where Samar writes his name on the glass and enjoys the few moments it stays there… And his thoughts when for the first time he befriends someone… And when he fights for the identity of Samar and his first date with Aliya… What not, Aamir infuses all the life into the Samar’s pain

In Total..

Surprisingly Vijay Krishna Acharya as director does a much better job when compared to his debut “Tashan” and incidentally he gave the dialogue and screenplay to Dhoom2. Sudeep Chatterjee’s cinematography is top notch and YashRaj films left no stone unturned to bring that richness to the film.

Nature defying stunts Or natural performance of Aamir, which side you incline to, makes you like or dislike this film. Dhoom definitely will not wholly disappoint thanks to Aamir and its grandness, but it does not has that “Wow” factor and it just might add a “Like” smiley on your face at the end.

Dhoom “3” has got inbuilt rating and hopefully cross “3”00 barrier this time and lets wish Aamir gets his due at the box office just like his “3”Idiots.
