BAAHUBALI MOVIE REVIEW

So what is July 10th…. It’s not a Worldcup final.. Where India and Pakistan are fighting for it…neither it is an election-result for telugu states or India or USA..nor it is a end of year to make a countdown, But it is far more than that for the ardent lovers of “Telugu” Cinema…As they were fondly and more eagerly and much more impatiently waiting for the biggest production of Indian cinema “BAAHUBALI”.. So we call July 10th the #BaahubaliDay.. And the man behind it, who has successes and only successes to his credit.. the undefeated director SS Rajamouli..

Plot as one could imagine by trailers…
Sivudu a happy going lad from tribal village always dreams of crossing huge waterfall surrounding his village .. and What awaits him on other side of that is the adventure of his life which makes him meet his mother who is in capture of the most wicked King Bhallaladeva..

Characters are memorable..
Someone once rightly said in a film.. “vaadi Body Boxoffice..” So that is Prabhas as Sivudu in one word.. looks macho.. always in for an adventure and the motto of this character is to bring us the question “Who is Amarendra Baahubali”..
Baahubali” means the Strongest … The Director envisioned him as very noble… Very Righteous and his heart is always filled with love for his people… “100 mandini champithe veerdu antaaru.. okka praananni kaapadithe Devudu antaaru” is what makes him divine… More of him to be revealed in part2. While he played Sivudu with energy, Baahubali is simply lovable..

Bhallaaladeva , very aptly played by Rana..he has wonderful diction and is so charming for a villain .. If at all Mahabharatha is remade.. he will be the best choice for Duryodhana .. He brings such an aura for a bad guy..!!

RamyaKrishna behaves positively in this part and her histrionics takes the character of Sivagami to next level.. But waiting for reality of her character in next part.. that would be more interesting ..
Nasser is just adequate as bijjaladeva .. nice graphic for a handicapped hand.. again waiting for more in 2.

Kattappa played by Sathyaraj is by far the best role in the film… Epitome of loyality.. Heights of helplessness … Superb… what an actor he is.. no problem at all to see him more in telugu films..
Anushka as Devasena becomes “Bommali” again.. stunning makeover..Such a brave appearance..
Tammana plays avanthika.. surprisingly not as expected and sticks to the Songs and of course  does few action scenes too..Adivi Sesh play Bhadra, Son of Bhallaaladeva. Kichcha Sundeep is very brief. Rohini and Tanikella Bharani are good. Prabhakar is fine as kalakeya

Epic War Episode and VFX unbelievable …!!
Waterfalls touching the sky… Marvellous Palace of Maahishmati.. Stunning episode of lifting the hundred foot statue of Bhallaaladeva… And that Royal atmosphere sprinkled all over .. everything is made believed that it is real..
And Top of the scoop is the war episode.. That episode has wonderful choreography.. the Visual grandeur perfectly tunes with the Warcraft and thus elevates our heroes and that ends the movie in apt way with a good twist at the end..

Rajamouli.. the creator of Baahubali..
There were tons and tons of expectations and he need to deliver that and at same time distribute the story between two films.. He being the master of his craft, has sufficient episodes to bring that “Wow” factor.. A Subtle “Interval” that has such a “Silence” effect... (Of course not the best of Rajamouli’s intervals).. And the great Rain fight that begins the flashback..

Once the Baahubali comes live.. Everything turns much more brighter.. And that epic war episode.. Salute..Salute..Salute.. for Rajamouli and his VFX team, Senthils photography and Keeravani’s extraordinary background score..

Buts..
Love episode of Sivudu and Avantika is artificial and quicky quick . Lot of love for Baahubali makes Sivudu run very fast without proper adventure or emotion especially when he meets his mother. Expecting a very nice drama between brothers for the Part2.

Please go bit early to the theatre to reserve a back seat!!
As this is one movie that is never to be missed in the theatre.. so that’s the advice I could share with you..:) Baahubali “The Beginning” Visually treated me well.. but waiting for a cunning and emotional “Conclusion”.. So Baahubali.. come make all the old Box office records bali..

Rating
80/100  :)
