Temper Movie Review

అన్నిఉన్నా .. అల్లుడి నోట్లో శని .. అనే ఓ సామెత ఉండేది .. అలాంటి మన లాంటొల్లలొ ఎన్టీఆర్ ఒకరు .. అతి పిన్న వయసులోనే గొప్ప విజయాలు అందుకున్న చిన్న ఎన్టీవోడు .. ఈ మధ్య కాలం ఒకటి అరా మోస్తరు సినిమాలు తో సరిపెట్టుకున్నాడు .. ఎన్నాళ్ళో ఎదురు చూసిన 'బంపర్' హిట్టు 'టెంపర్' తో వచ్చిందని తోలి రోజు టాక్ .. 

మనకి తెలీని కథెం కాదు : సినిమాకో కథ ఎక్కడ పుట్టుకొస్తుంది చెప్పండి .. ఓ లంచగొండి పోలీస్ .. ఒక దారుణమైన సంగటణ ..  హీరోలో మార్పు .. అరె ఈ సినిమా మొన్నే చూసాం అనిపించిందా అనిపిస్తే అనిపియ్యనివ్వండి .. కాని తెలిసిన కథ నే సూటిగా చెప్పి తరువాత ఎం జరుగుతుంది అని అనిపించేలా చెయ్యటం ఈ డైరెక్టర్ కి "పూరి" తో పెట్టిన విద్య .. 

పూరి .. నందమూరి !!

అదుర్స్ లో నవ్వించాడు .. రాఖి లో విజ్రంబించాడు .. పూరి హీరోల్లో ఉండే ఓ ఈజ్,తిక్క .. అలాగే ఎన్టీవోడు లో ఉండే ఓ కసి,ఆవేశం రెండు సమపాళ్ళలో కలిసాయి ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ దయ లో .. ఓ మా చెడ్డ పోలీస్ లా చెయ్యటమే ఎన్టీఆర్ కి కొత్త .. అలా చెడుని కూడా స్టైల్ గా చేసుకుంటూ .. సరైన టైం లో రివర్స్ గేర్ వేసే పాత్ర లో ఎన్టీఆర్ చెలరేగిపోయాడు .. ఫాన్స్ దిల్ కుష్ చేసాడు ..!!

 మొదటి సారి తను రాసిన కధ కాకుండా వక్కంతం వంశి కథ తో సినిమా తీసాడు పూరి జగన్నాథ్ .. ఈ మధ్య ఆయన కథనాల్లో ఓ కొంత నిర్లక్ష్యం కనిపిస్తుంది .. కాని ఈ సారి ఓ దేవుడి దండలో పూలు గుచ్చినంత అందంగా సన్నివేశాలు పేర్చాడు .. ఫస్టాఫ్ లో వచ్చే సీన్స్ ని రెండో సగం లో సింక్ చేస్తూ .. హీరోలో మార్పు మెప్పించేలా చూపించి .. క్లైమాక్స్ లో ఈ సమస్య కి పరిష్కారం .. ఇన్ని సినిమాలు చూసిన ఓ ప్రేక్షకుడు ఊహించని విధంగా చెప్పి శభాష్ అనిపించుకున్నాడు . 

ఏ హీరో తో సూపర్బ్ కెమిస్ట్రీ ఉండే విలనీ ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ కి వరం . పోసాని కృష్ణమురళి  గారిది హీరో ని హీరో గా చేసే  అద్బుతమైన పాత్ర . హీరోని పెళ్లున చెంపదెబ్బ కొట్టాలంటే అది తనికెళ్ళ భరణి గారు కొడితేనే కిక్కు . 

ఇన్ని సినిమాలు చేసినా ఇంకా చూడముద్దొస్తుంది కాబట్టే కాజల్ ఒక్కో హీరోతో రెండేసి మూడేసి తీస్కుంటూ పోతుంది .. వెన్నెల కిషోర్ నవ్విస్తూ అయ్యో పాపం అనిపించాడు. ఆలి , రఘుబాబు , సప్తగిరి ఫస్టాఫ్ కవర్ చేసారు !!

మ్యూజిక్ సిస్టం .. ( ఈ హెడ్డింగ్ సినిమా చూస్తె తెలుస్తుంది )

అనూప్ పాటలు బాగున్నాయి సినిమా ఫ్లో లో కరెక్ట్ గా కుదిరాయి . మణిశర్మ బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ మనల్ని సినిమా లో లీనం చేసింది .. 

చివరగా .. 

ఓ పెద్ద హీరో సినిమా చూసి ఓ రెండు మూడు వారాలు అయ్యింది కాబట్టి .. కొంచెం కామెడి ... ఓ నాలుగు మాంచి సాంగ్స్ .. కావలసినంత ఎన్టీఆర్ .. కొంచెం మీ మూడ్ ని టెంపర్ తో నింపుకుంటే టెంపర్ నచ్చే ఛాన్స్ ఉంది .. ట్రై చెయ్యొచ్చు ..

PATAS MOVIE REVIEW

నందమూరి కళ్యాణ్ రాం కి ... "అతనొక్కడే" సినిమా తరువాత మరో మంచి హిట్టు రావాలని కేవలం నందమూరి అభిమానులే కాదు .. ఇంకా ఎంతో మంది కోరుకొని ఉంటారు .. !! కాని హిట్టు ఎవరో కోరుకుంటే రాదు ... అలా వచ్చెయ్యలంతే .. ఓ "పటాస్" లాగ ..!!

కథ మామూలే ... 

జీవితం లోజరిగిన కొన్ని చేదు అనుభవాలతో అవినీతి పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ గా మారిన హీరో .. ఇంటర్వెల్ టైం కి ఎలా తిక్క రేగి సరైన రూట్లోకి వచ్చి విలన్ల పంబ రేపుతాడో అనేది పటాస్ కథ .. 

కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ .. ఫస్ట్ నుంచి లాస్టు దాకా.... 

కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ ఇంత హుషారుగా ఎప్పుడు చెయ్యలేదు .. అది క్యారెక్టర్ మహిమో .. డైరెక్టర్ పనితనమో , కష్ట పడి .. ఇష్ట పడి చాలా చలాకి గా చాలా పవర్ఫుల్ గా చేసాడు "పటాస్ " లాంటి పోలీస్ పాత్రని . నందమూరి అభిమానులు తనకి దూరం అవుతున్నారేమో అని భయమో ఏంటో .. Jr ఎన్టీఆర్ తో వాయిస్ ఓవర్, బాలయ్య బాబు పాట రీమిక్స్ , హరికృష్ణ సీతయ్య సీను , ఓ ఫైట్ లో ఎన్టీఆర్ విగ్రహం ..ఇలా అన్ని లైఫ్ లైన్స్ వాడేసాడు ... 

శ్రుతి సోడి ..ఇంకో రివ్యూ లో ఈ అమ్మాయి పేరు మనం చదువుతామో లేదో మరి ?? ఈ హీరోయిన్ ప్లేస్ లో ఏ రకుల్ ఓ రెజినా నో చేసుంటే బాగుండేది .. 

సునామి స్టార్ సుబాష్ అలియాస్ మైలవరపు సూర్యనారాయణ ( మనం ముద్దు గా ఎమ్మెస్ నారాయణ అంటాం) మనల్ని పక పక నవ్విస్తూనే .. దూరంగా వెళ్లి ఏడిపించారు సార్ !!

శ్రీనివాస్ "రెడ్డి గారు " ,వాచకం .. నటన రెండు ఉన్న మంచి కమెడియన్ ... సాయి కుమార్ది కూడా మంచి పాత్రే .. కాక పోతే ఒక్క సీన్ ఇచ్చారు మంచిది . అసుతోష్ రానా పర్లేదు .. పోసాని రోల్ బాగుంది . 

కొత్తోడు .. కొట్టాడు .. అనిల్ రావిపూడి .. 

ఒకే ప్రేమ కథ ని పది రకాలుగా పది మంది దర్శకులు ఆకట్టుకునేలా చెప్పగలరు .. అలాగే ఒకే పోలీస్ కథ ని ఒక్కో డైరెక్టర్ ఒక్కో లా కుమ్మేయగలడు .. తండ్రి కొడుకు సెంటిమెంట్ .. అన్న చెల్లి సెంటిమెంట్ .. చాలా సింపుల్ గా హత్తుకునేలా చెప్పాడు. "801" సర్వీస్ , హీరోయిన్ కోసం ప్రెస్ మీట్లు etc etc తో ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ ఫాస్ట్ గా గడిచిపోయింది . ఇంటర్వెల్ ట్విస్ట్ ఓ మాదిరిగా ఉంది .. ఎవరైనా ఊహించొచ్చు . 

ఇది కథ అని తెలిసాక కూడా పవర్ఫుల్ డైలాగులతో .. సరైన కామెడీ తో చక చక సినిమాని నడిపించటం "పటాస్" ప్లస్ పాయింట్ .. కురాన్ కి అర్ధం చెప్పే ముస్లిం ఎపిసోడ్ .. " మదర్స ఎపిసోడ్" హైలైట్స్ . 

ఎం బాలేదంటే .. 

సాదారణంగా రీమిక్స్ దండగ .. పాట ఖూనీ అయ్యింది అనుకుంటాం .. కాని సాయి కార్తీక్ సొంత పాటల కంటే ఈ సినిమా లాస్ట్ సాంగ్ .. బాలయ్య బాబు అరె ఓ సాంబ నే కేక . సో పాటలు హీరోయిన్ బాగుండాల్సింది . 

ఫైనల్లీ .. 

చాలా కాలం తరువాత ఓ హిట్టు కొట్టాడు కాబట్టి తీరిక చేసుకుని థియేటర్ కి వెళ్లి ఈ కళ్యాణ రాముడికి కంగ్రాట్స్ చెబుదాం !!

I Movie Review

Some movies have maverick directors.. Some movies have brilliant actors…Some movies have awesome technicians… and finally some movies attract even more with cleverly cut trailers… And thus they become most expected movies of the season. Now Shanker-Vikram's I has everything we talked just now and so obviously is most awaited. But will all expectations turn into accolades !!

Plot: It all begins with the an ugly ogre(Vikram) kidnaps Diya(Amy) from her wedding.  Then story slowly unlocks as how a model Diya falls for a body builder Lingesa … and how their love is being destroyed by bunch of villians.. and then why this hunch-back man is taking the revenge…

Actors..

I was admired by Vikram’s immense effort for ‘I’ . He brilliantly transforms into various forms… from an aspiring body-builder to super model to a hunch-back man to a monster in a song… But due to this excess transformations.. one can see his age in form of wrinkles when he is seen as model.. Though he does well.. I could not be his best because of the stretchiness and over-elaborate narration.

Amy Jackson is beautiful. Her role is given a great importance. Upen Patel is fresh for a south Indian film and is adequate. SureshGopi, a normal audience could easily imagine the twist behind his role.

Srinivas Reddy’s voice over matches’ santhanam’s comic timing perfectly.

Expectations misfired!!!

Various stories on the making of the film… falsification of excessive budgets… luring with sleek trailers successfully tortured the first day watchers. It is such a simple story that was dragged to extreme…

Growing up watching such a great films of shanker, everyone is bound to imagine that each every moment in shankers movie is so precious. So when the director starts narrating the story in back and forth narration… Though there is nothing striking in the flashback.. but due to periodic appearance of hunch back Vikram, one keeps on thinking there is something “More than that” than seen on screen. But as things become clear by interval… the great director himself has nothing to say further.. and he repeats whatever is being told in first half.. now more elaborately testing the patience of audience.

Sprinkles of brilliance…

As mentioned, while everyone would admire the hard work made by Vikram, feel sad that his pain is not properly used. Popular song “Issaq taari”/Pareshanayya where bike, TV , phone .. everything transforms into heroine. A duet pictured in beautiful tulip gardens in China is superb. Beast song which comes as dream sequence is sort of cheating the audience via trailer!! it seems Rahman is not interested much in providing music for Indian films. By the way Fight sequences, Wrestlers raw fight, cycle fight in China, Train sequence in pre-climax are good. And the punishments given to the villains remind me Anniyan/Aparichitudu !!

Finally..!!

Sometimes it will be not as bad for second day watchers as the expectations are then set right. If you can’t wait to see Shanker and Vikrams combination on screen.. do watch the movie for few sparkles and put away all guesses.. Predictions and watch as if you could not guess what next scene is .. and who the secret villain is!!!

Mukunda Movie Review

Though Mega Heroes keep coming one after other, This Tall and handsome Varun Tej is most awaited among them. And though this director Srikanth Addala made just two films, He created for himself a special place among directors by bringing the sweet native flavor to his films. Altogether Mukunda is one last film of the year that is expected to bid a grand adieu to 2014.

Plot: The Director starts narrating the story as “I did not pen any story for this movie, Let me pick one passenger in this bus and tell his story”. As we see his past films, Srikanth does not believe in telling a very uncommon story, so here too... We have a small town boy, who talks just as much is needed…and is always there for a friend when needed!! Then there is a wicked Municipal Chairman who keeps winning election for past 20 years. So naturally there comes a conflict this time …

Let me talk about the Boy.. The reason we go to this movie..

Varun Tej is striking in a very first sight... Tallest in the clan. Especially his confident dialogue delivery with the senior actor like Rao Ramesh makes us believe he is here to stay. There is an ease in fights. Only the dances lack the punch considering he is related to awesome dancers like Charan and Bunny. Overall it is one of the promising debut.

Pooja hegde is so cute.. But she has only Songs in this film as one surprising factor in the movie is Hero and heroine won’t ever talk to each other.  Though we love to see her in more movies with our heroes, She has allotted all her dates to Hrithik-Asutosh Gowariker’s prestigious project Mohenjo-Daro.

We had four distinguished actors here to talk about.

Rao Ramesh… plays the Chairman. More than that, he plays orator. Continuously talks… seems like sensible.. But I could not sense it whether it made any sense, did I make any sense? Oh that’s what I sensed when he spoke!! ( You should listen to him in movie to get the es”sence” of what I told)

It’s a different role for Prakash Raj…An overly read scholar who speaks lot in depth. Sometimes I felt he got mad as his role was snatched by Rao Ramesh.

Nasser surprisingly is very cool and snatches the show from these two. Lastly Paruchuri garu made his presence felt. 

Seems Sekhar Kammula stopped making movies and started doing guest roles.

The director Srikanth is given an immense task of introducing this star kid and at the same time need to deliver what audience need. For the first part, he gets a convincing pass marks, as he could prove that his hero could speak well, fight superbly and of course looks pretty in the songs.

But for latter he could not get that pass marks. It starts promisingly setting up the premise, A Hero, his friend in trouble and so he fights for him. And the point is, it just got stuck there in a circle and same track keep coming till the end. And then we had so big intellectual discussions as movie is packed with 4 big actors/orators. Some discussions will make us say “wow”, but many won’t even register properly. As the pair is cute enough, it is convincing that boy-girl just talk through eyes. But in the process they wasted such a beautiful songs situation less. I remembered “Prema-Lekha” where the lovers meet at the climax. But were there duets there??

Finally..

If you are eager to watch the new kid in the block… Sure go watch it, as Varun won’t disappoint. There is inner beauty and sweetness in this semi-rural background one might admire. I love this girl and I was already big fan of these songs given by Mickey J Mayer, so I am convinced of 70% of my money spent. I think Srikanth extracts the best from Mickey than any other.

On the flipside, lack of proper clarity and over the head talk, and a very silent love track might be considerable disappointments.

Half century in the first match…!!

PK not OK

When I first saw Sarfarosh when I was young, I was immensely thrilled and started liking Aamir Khan. Known as Mr. Perfect in making his films. Whether it be Lagaan, Taare Jameen par, 3Idiots.. liked his every movie and one can say he is best of Khans in choosing the scripts. At the same time was in awe for the Rajkumar Hirani’s Munnabhai series. Naturally had lot of expectations when the duo are coming back as PK.

Story: An alien (Aamir) is dropped in the desert by a spaceship to research the life on earth. But immediately his valuable transmitter is being snatched by a thief. Now he has no way to call back his spaceship. So he goes in search of it. People suggest that, only God could save him. And now this alien known as PK, starts searching God. He gets confused with several religions and keeps questioning the Rituals mostly of Hindus. Good thing he exposes a fake sadhu in his journey. And finally somehow connects this to a love story of a Hindu girl(Anushka) and a Pakistani Muslim boy(Sushanth).

Why PK not OK…

Rituals in a religion has their significance and few date back to the social events in the past.

When PK questions why people pray to idols. I remember one thing. On Independence Day and Republic day, we do Flag hoisting and salute to the Indian Flag. Are we saluting to a Pole and a cloth or are we saluting to our motherland? He makes all fuss in temple and breaks coconut in a church.. But why is he stopped on streets itself, before he entering into mosque with the wine bottles?

Is there no better place for the director to showcase the encounter of PK with Lord Shiva than a restroom? And after the famous chasing of Lord shiva on streets, he announces on stage that he met the God in the Restroom. In a country, where many throw money on lavish parties, I could not first comment on few pints of milk used for Abhishekam and I neither support it too.

Questioning the fake sadhu and the concept of “Wrong Numbers” is perfect and had the entire movie on same lines, I would have filled all these paragraphs with praises on Aamir’s acting. But Atleast Sadhus don’t preach on killing innocent in the name of Religion.

The same questioning in OMG was never falsified... the intent of questioning is wrong here.

After watching all this, the enlightenment via a love story where the Boy calls the embassy every day at 9 for this girl too had some wrong signals and felt funnier than the gravity defying fight sequences in Dhoom3.

Powerful yet dumb Alien!!

PK represents a powerful alien, who can grab the entire language and read the mind by holding the hands of a person. And he comes in a space ship. So as we know the potential of his race, Can he not understand the significance of currency? As he foolishly brings in all notebooks, posters printed with Gandhi’s image for buying vegetables!!!! I really wonder how could a planet which had spaceships had no clothes?? 

Problem one has with PK is its partiality and mockery of ones belief without complete knowledge. There are many ways of enlightening people and PK took the wrong way. There are several other ways a movie on integrity of nation can be made. Doesn’t we love Maniratnam’s  “Mumbai” ? While Kamal hassan had so many troubles bringing out Viswaroopam, Aamir cleared the censor simple and minting crores.

By the way .pk is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Pakistan. Like we use .in for some of our websites, edu.pk, org.pk are used by educational institutes/ non-profit organizations in Pakistan (Please refer to the Wiki of PK).  Whatever it is Aamir lost a fan with his PK is what all I could say.

Govindudu Andarivaadele (GAV) Review

మాస్ సినిమాలు మాత్రమె చేస్తూ తన సత్తా చాటుకున్నరామ్ చరణ్ తొలి సారి పంధా మార్చి క్రియేటివ్ దర్శకుడు కృష్ణ వంశి దర్శకత్వం లో "గోవిందుడు అందరివాడే " అనిపించుకోటానికి సరదాగా ఈ దసరాకి ముహూర్తం  పెట్టుకున్నాడు ...  ఆ గోవిందుడి కథా కమిషను నాలుగు మాటల్లో .. 

కొత్త కధేం కాదులేండి ..

తన ఊరి కోసం తపించే తండ్రి .. కొడుకుని డాక్టర్ చదివిస్తాడు .. కాని కొడుకు గారు అమ్మ లాంటి ఊరు కంటే అమెరికా నే కోరుకుని వెళ్లి పొతాడు . పాతికేళ్ళ తరువాత ఆ మనవడు తన కుటుంబాన్ని ఎలా కలుపుకున్నాడనేది ఈ గోవిందుడి కథ .. 

ఎవరెలా చేసారు .. 

కృష్ణ వంశి చేతిలో పడి మెరవాలని ఒకప్పుడు ప్రతి కుర్ర హీరో అనుకునేవాడు .. చరణ్ కి సరైన సమయం లో ఈ అవకాశం చిక్కింది  .. తన లోని మాస్ ని అలా పక్కన పెట్టి కథ లో ఓ ముఖ్య పాత్రలా అలా ఒదిగి పోయాడు చరణ్ . నిజానికి వంశీ కూడా తనకు కావలసినంత చేయించుకున్నాడే కానీ మరింత గా ఎం కష్ట పెట్టలేదు . 8 సినిమాల వయసున్న రామ్ కి ఇది రెండో గొప్ప చిత్రం అనుకోవచ్చు. 

మరి ఏ ఉద్దేశం తొ.. లేక పిచ్చి గానో ఈ పాత్రకి ఓ తమిళ నటుడిని అనుకున్నారో తెలిదు.. ఇది ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ మాత్రమె చేసే పాత్ర .. ఆయన సూపర్ గా చేసాడు అని చెప్పటం సచిన్ టెండూల్కర్ మంచి ఆటగాడు అని చెప్పటం లాంటిది .. 

అలాగే శ్రీకాంత్ బాబాయి లా అటుక్కుపోయాడు బంగారి గా . మెగా ఫామిలీ తో ఉన్న రిలేషన్ వల్ల .. "నా అన్న కొడుకు" అని అంటుంటే నిజమే అనిపిస్తుంది .. 

కాజల్ .. కృష్ణ వంశీ కి ఈ చందమామ కొత్త కాదు .. కాని కొత్తగా చూపించాడు కాజల్ ని .. రామ్ చరణ్ - కాజల్ వండర్ఫుల్ పెయిర్ అంతే . 

కమ్ముల బామ కమలిని కి మంచి రోలే దొరికింది .. కాజల్ తో పాటు నేను ఒక హీరోయిన్ నే అనిపించేలా సినిమా అంతా అందంగా కనిపించింది . జయ సుధ కి గ్లిసరిన్ బాటిల్ ఇస్తే ఊరుకుంటుందా .. మొత్తం అవచేస్తుంది .. 

కోట .. రావు రమేశ్  విలనీ మీద పెద్ద ధ్యాస పెట్టలేదు కిట్టయ్య . 

అంతా బావుంది కాని అంతేనా అనిపించింది ... 

అరటి తోరణాలతో .. దీపావళి కాంతులతో .. ముగ్గురు అత్తలు .. ఇద్దరు మరదళ్ళు .. వరసైన బావలు .. సూపర్ స్ట్రిక్ట్ నాన్న .. సెంటిమెంటు అమ్మ .. ఇంత సరంజామా ఉంటే కృష్ణవంశీ ఊరుకుంటాడా .. దున్నుకుంటూ పోయాడు .. చాలా సునాయాసంగా ..  

అప్పుడెప్పుడో నేను చదువుకునే రోజుల్లోనే మురారి తో తెలుగుదనం ఉన్న సినిమా అంటే ఇది అన్ని ఈనాటి ప్రేక్షకులకు రుచి చూపించాడు కృష్ణ వంశీ . సో కథ లో మురారి బావ మరదల్లు.. "అతడు"లోని వారసుడి చాయలు కనిపించినా .. ఏ సీన్ కి ఆ సీన్ బాగుంది అనిపించేలా సాగిపోయింది సినిమా .. ముఖ్యం చరణ్ కి ఇలాంటిది మొదటిసారి .. శ్రీకాంత్ క్యారెక్టర్ ఇవి బాగా కలిసొచ్చాయి .. ఆహా అద్బుతం అనేంత లేదు కాని పర్వాలేదు బాగుంది అనిపించారు డైరెక్టర్ . 

యువన్ ఇచ్చిన పాటలు స్క్రీన్ మీద ఇంకా బాగున్నాయి. కృష్ణ వంశీ పాటలకి వంకలా ... ఎలా ఎలా ..? మణిశర్మ బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ మిస్సింగ్ ఇక్కడ .. 

అమ్మో చివర ఇరవై నిమిషాలు ఇరగ అని మన బండ్ల గణేష్ చెప్పాడని ఓ కర్చీఫ్ మోసుకుని వెళ్తారేమో .. సినిమా మొత్తం చుట్టేసినట్టే చివరకి కూడా చాలా సింపుల్ గా లాగించేసారు  వంశీ గారు .

కొన్ని సినిమాలకి టైమింగ్ బలం .. మాస్ మసాలాలు .. బ్రహ్మనందాలు ..కిక్కు ఇవ్వని టైం లో ఈ గోవిందుడు ఇంకాస్త ముద్దుగా కనిపిస్తాడు .. అన్నట్టు ఈ సినిమాలో బ్రహానందం గారు లేరండో.. 

కుంభ స్థలాన్ని కొట్టక పోయినా  ఈ పండగకి కావలసినంత కలెక్షన్స్ కొల్లగొ డతాడు  గోవిందుడు ..

AAGADU MOVIE REVIEW

Superstar Maheshbabu’s “Aagadu”  is of course undoubtedly most awaiting movie of the season and it hits maximum number of theatre this Friday. Trailer filled with punches.. Mahesh’s hatrick producers 14 Reels and the Dookudu’s directors Sreenu Vaitla’ combination and Thamans peppy tunes and Tamanna pairing with Mahesh.. All garnered enough craze for “Aagadu”.

Single line: Aagadu tells how a clever Police Shanker puts an end to crooked local don Damu(Sonu Sood) .

Actors:

Mahesh has done this before in Dookudu.. So it is more easy now.. and this time he just amplifies his comedy timing.. He utters punch after punch with no gap while himself imitating punch dialogues.

Tamanna has finally got a chance to share screen with Mahesh.. She does her best in songs and has very less screen presence beyond that. Sruthi hassan need not act in such a cheap item.

Vennala Kishore is very apt as side kick and he gives his best yet again. Brahmaji is good. Nazar tries hard to bring out some laughs but I did not laugh at all then. But Raghu babu and Posani’s roles clicked well and provided needed pace to the first half.

MS Narayana and Brahmanandam are less than half effective than in Dookudu. Last Reel comedy of Brahmanandam will not give that Kikk always!!

Watching Rajendra prasad in the titles might expect a similar sentiment scenes between father and son like in Dookudu.. but his role disappoints as there is no scope later. Sonu Sood is good as villain who has just body but no brain.

 

No story.. only dialogues..

There is no story to take home as such .. and all the dialogues in the trailer are covered in first 5 minutes.. So there is lots in store for the audience. While many are good and had good timing, there are as many which are so fastly used .. that many might miss them. May be time would come when audience start hating them.

Without second thought, First half is much entertaining. It runs reasonably fast with comedy episodes of Posani, Raghubabu etc . Just like anthakshari episode in Gabbar singh, we have “Meelo evaru Potugadu” here, which is reasonably hilarious.  Love track plus songs in Tamanna are good too. Audience are almost half content by interval expecting to fill in that gap with later half.

But the same old entry of Brahmanandam and redoing almost what is done before leading to expected climax making the villain (as well as the audience) the bakras belittles the second half.

Finally..

First half is fine as it had sustaining comedy episodes and nice songs. Liked “Bhel Puri” and title track on screen.. Excess of graphics spoiled Aaja Saroja a bit. Had the second half been more fresh and gripping.. it would have been worth a wait..

Nevertheless it is adequate for a weekend time pass and grab as much as collections possible for a week or two.
