Naa Peru Surya.. Naa Illu India.. Review

Summer heat is picking.. So is the heat at the Box office..We already have seen two movies "Rangasthalam" and "Bharath Ane Nenu" kept cash registers busy at the BoxOffice.. Now it is Allu Arjun's turn to make the score 3/3..

Naa Peru Surya marks the introduction of the writer Vakkantam Vamsi as director.. Definitely he has come up with interesting script for his debut.. And Allu Arjun lend his honest support to the director.. He just slayed in his role of angry soldier.. And he is Stylish star for a  reason.. He has got the coolest hairstyle in the flick..

Introduction sequence is terrific and sets up the right tone.. Looking at trailers and this few min.. audience might  hope for movie with the Military background.. But he showcased Military very under current and switched to social drama from then.. First half is entertaining..lighter vein and good enough .. Father and Son Bonding between Two Arjuns is real bonus here.. and this conflict gives us great Pre-interval and the Interval blocks.. Action sequences are too different and great..liked the action sequence where his training is put to use in real time scenario.. Anu Emaunel is cute enough.. Rao Ramesh and Boman Irani gets decent space in this half..

Second half too wont have many hiccups.. Audience too will be equally anxious whether Surya could win the challenge .. Under currently Patriotic message drives us towards the Pre climax and to the Climax.. Sai Kumar shines in this half.. Sarath Kumar, Thakur Anoop Sing gets meatier roles in this half

Seeing Promos and posters one would expect a pure patriotic movie.. But director showed us regular commercial movie with right ingredients.. This might make us feel cheated if expect other way around.. In one of the scenes there is double intended dialogue about Border.. Thought that should not have been there in first place when you are making a movie on Patriotism..

On the whole .. it is well packaged movie.. just when you feel it is getting routine.. director makes sure he blends in good dialogues.. a fight or a song.. Liked the songs and how they are pictured..

Bharath Ane Nenu Review

I see the real summer movie mania in Tollywood, watching such a well made movies from current Megastars and Superstars.. It's just couple of weeks back Ramcharan has delivered his careers landmark in performance and Collections.. Now it is Superstar Maheshbabu's turn to clean bowl us with his brilliance ... Just loved this movie.. So sharing my thoughts what made me like this movie so much..

Bharath Ane Nenu takes a leaf each from Sekhar Kammula's Leader and Shankers Oke Okkadu.. But Siva Koratala brings his own natural style to it.. I see more reality and ground nature in Bharath Ane Nenu..  Of Course an ideal political  leader is fantasy.. So are the movies.. What if a CM be like Bharath . He lives up to promises he made in his Oath and he even expects the same from the people.. Koratala balances the good and bad in simple way rather than showing more vulgarity and bloodshed .. Tells a message what if this kind of Good things happen.. What if a CM is so sincere.. 

Things in society wont change by watching a movie.. But if Good things are shown on screen continuously .. it slowly gets into our mind and Siva does that so effectively..

Mahesh gets younger by each movie.. See the first song. "I Don't know" He slams the handsomeness. Give him a honestly written role.. he portrays it to perfection.. Be it the Press meet scene when he shouts "I am not done yet".. Be it Assembly scenes and cabinet scenes.. where he mixes perfectly he is NRI slang and local slang reminding the roots of the role.. He touches the hearts when he visits the villages and the audiences truly sing in their mind "Vachadayya Saami" .. 

Casting is superb .. Prakashraj does the role he did 234 times yet in unquestionable way.. Ministers Posani, Ravi Kumar, Jeeva and of course Jayalalitha as speaker all were good . Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji are excellent.. Kiara Advani is simple and beautiful.. Devi has given brilliant BGM and excellent situational songs.. he lost his midas touch in duets .. Visuals are very rich...

Not so many weaknesses I see .. But Koratala does things in simple way and he cannot put in that Rajamouli style Goosebumps.. But thats fine..

Finally loved the movie very much.. I think it wold be unstoppable mania again at box office..

JaiSimha Movie review

Usually Sankranthi season works out very well for Balakrishna.. Somehow this time expectations are very less on #JaiSimha ..due to trailers and competition.. and the director KS Ravi ravi kumar who delivered movies like Narasimha is not in that form now..

But I was pleasantly surprised.. JaiSimha begins with a hospital scene in rain affect hinting there would be serious story ahead.. Balakrishna's entrance in Train station is so well done with slight elevation..In the first half Kumbakonam brahmins scene came out very well with exceptional dialogues.. Flow in this half is very smooth as things are connected very well for the conflict between the ASP, #baahubali prabhaker and the Balayya.. Good to see in Brahmanandam after long time, even though it is very regular role for him.. Murali mohan , LB Sreeram excel in this half.. #Ammakutti song is getting whistles from the masses..Interval fight is done well and the twist at the interval leaves a puzzle in the story..

Second half begins with bang in Vizag with young politician's insult on RK Beach road.. But there is drag here in scenes between Nayanathara and Balayya and Haripriya.. A tough triangle love story for hero of that age.. But in order to execute the sentiment, director KS Ravikumar has firmly showed what he has to for the later scenes.. Songs are also not very well here..

Again it picks up well by final scene in the flashback and Climax fight is shot well.. I liked that shot where two villains killed in one act. Then Again Director plans for that final sentimental twist at the end to justify the sacrifice at next level.. Well done.. Prakashraj, nayanathara, Haripriya, sivaji raja , Asutosh Rana all did well here.. Chirantan Bhatt's BGM is good..

I liked the way the content is driven and equally make the masses happy.. Overall good watch for Balayya fans and families ..

SPYDER MOVIE REVIEW

When the super talented Murugudoss gets to direct our Superstar MaheshBabu.. definitely it brings in lot of curiosity factor as what genre they would choose.. Even though the initial teasers were not that  great.. expectations slowly mounted up by the release time naturally 

Plot : It is a thriller genre where our hero hunts down the Psycho Killer  (SJ Surya).. 

Maheshbabu should be appreciated for sincerely trying out new genre in a different combination.. Speaking about his charm makes no special news as it is default in all his movies ..His costumes in song "Haali Haali " are funny by the way.. 

SJ Suryah is menacing as villian and has done fantastic job .. RakulPreetSingh has no importance and comes as spead breaker as she is given remuneration for songs.. Bharat has a limited role as compared to advertised.

Background score by Harris Jayaraj is excellent while songs are just ok as they dont fit in properly..

Theme and execution..
Firstly the movie has an excellent theme and message.. It has the Hero on one side who tries to help the people he does not know at all and gets satisfaction out of it.. on other side the Villian gets the sadistic pleasure listening to peoples tears and goes to any extent to hear the people suffer .. It is true that villian in the movie has 15% of sadistic behaviour and every human has 4%.. and we should work to minimize it ..It is that message conveyed in commercial way..

Director jumps into the plot pretty much from the start and it picks up speed when the first cruel murder happens .. Flashback of the villian is shown very raw.. The way the Hero approaches the villian is great and convincing.. Interval block is nice and I liked the sequence where the villian is shot post interval.. Overall First half is quite engaging and sets up great premise..

Involving TV soap watching women in a sequence is decent and fun .. But from that point movie becomes more ambitious than needed.. Audience are in no mood to forgive the slighest jerk in graphics after watching "Baahubali' on telugu screen..So the graphic work towards climax disappoints us for sure.. Hero trying to solve the big problem single handed and he could not stop the disasters to happen seems to go wrong !! 

A thriller movie should be as gripping like "Vettayadu veliyaadu (Raghavan)" if attempted as this movie has similar theme.. Overall SPYDER is convincing till two thirds.. It remains as good theme. SPYDER is true tamil debut for Mahesh thats being dubbed into Telugu..!!

Watch it for different genre and message and Mahesh..

JaiLavaKusa Movie Review

NTR has multiplied his image by many folds hosting the Biggboss in so endearing style.. And he just had Hat trick hits . So JaiLavaKusa where he played triple role naturally had curiosity and now his fans and households were equally and eagerly waiting..

Plot : Jai, Lava , Kusa .. though the three brothers look similar.. Jai is given a flaw his stammering.. So his brothers get fame while doing stage plays whereas Jai is sidelined and insulted.. This leads to the separation of the brothers ... How they meet again is the crux of the movie..

NTR has given fantabulous performance as Jai without any doubt.. I think no other Telugu star can even be imagined in his shoes.. And best is he doing 3 characters in same scene.. and that is brilliant to the power of 3. Jai is menacing.. Kusa is entertaining .. Lava is sweet and honest.. 

Heroines had very less scope .. Rashi khanna is good in her song Tring Tring.. Nivetha is just ok. Tamanna's item is not appealing.. Liked Posani's role and Saikumar is good. 

Bobby's direction should have been better.. is what I felt throughout.. As the story focuses on Jai alone.. First half where no Jai appears just passes blandly with no novelty.. There is no big bang at all for the interval as it is known that 3rd character then enters the scene.. Villians are like retro 90's and pull back the proceedings..

DSP has given powerful track for "Raavana" and NTR lifts the scenes with his high voltage acting.. the drama scenes in the pre-climax  and of course every scene where three NTR's were together are an eye feast.. it shows the sheer brilliance of such a great actor  of his time.. Partial entertainment is given by Kusa role.. don't worry his funky hair cut only lasts for the first song and few scenes.

I felt like if director has not dealt the entire movie with equal conviction and did not concentrate on a strong emotion.. he could not bring in anti-climax.. And he should have brought in some new style in depicting love tracks and villains.. 

JaiLavaKusa can be watched for NTR.. if loose ends are tightened and a happy climax like Arjun Reddy's might have given a better impact here ..

Paisa Vasool Review

#PaisaVasool is a surprise combination of Puri Jagannath and Balayya babu..

Puri Jaganath has certain template for his mafia movies.. and Pokiri is the first and best among that ..There are lot of similarities with Pokiri and Paisavasool for lot of scenes in the first half and second half..like the scenes at those den and one guy shouting just like subbaraju etc etc  

Despite the similarities and the template story .. Balakrishna delivered honestly his 100% and just transformed himself into Puri's hero...A totally different characterization .. lot of punches .. countless .Personally I liked the Karva chowth dialogue, freedom fighter dialogue .. etc.. Theda sing will showcase new balayya

First half is racy enough .. and the dialogues and fights make sure it passes swiftly.. Flash back in second half has Shriya and Portugese ..both were colorful on screen..Mukesh G's work as cinematographer is appreciable ..A melody with Shriya and the title song were good ..New heroines appear very odd as pair to Balakrishna. Ali and Prithvi are in short comic roles

Vikramjit is good as main villian .. the scenes between him and hero are in different style ..

Puri should come out of his template than just adding a different hero to it and concentrating on that heroes body language .. As a result PaisaVasool turned out as just different treat for Balayya fans .. but not as solid fresh film ..

Nevertheless it is good one time watch for regular audience and superb watch for the fans..

ARJUNREDDY REVIEW

#ARJUNREDDY came in like 'Boom' when no one is expecting stuff like this... And Vijay Devarakonda proved his words of confidence were indeed perfectly true...

 #ARJUNREDDY is like a fun boys outing with no restrictions whatsoever ... It speaks out all that's suppressed inside .. So came as stress reliever for many..

Vijay DEVARAKONDA is splendid talent.. best of new comers and beats out many recent hiers too ... He speaks his mind and has lot of trouble with his anger management.. But he still he never fails in his duty and academics and his focus on his one girl .."adi naa pilla" .. his acting in the in-house court scene.. his attitude at the football match.. his intensity when he is suffering .. he expresses them so naturally.. That scene when he speaks out so frankly when his friend hands over the wedding card.. And the way he handles so softly and maturely the heroines brother.. there are bunch of fresh scenes all through the film..

 Director Sandeep gives that culture shock to the Telugu Cinema Pattern .. like how once #shiva did.. brings in sort of reality to polished movie language and proceedings .. But at the same time honestly potrays a pure love story in complete circle.. how the love grows up so strong and it's implications when broken.. Ending is so sweet to happen in real life when you actually potrayed much reality in between..So that ending is like odd man out..


Good to see Kanchana garu so fresh in this movie ..Heroes friend Shiva(Rahul Ramakrishna) stands out and fills in all gaps admist intense happenings with all the boys fun stuff..everyone feels one should have such a friend in life.. Priyadarshi's role is like killing himself( not suitable).. the Climax scene justifies the selection of the heroine Shalini/Preethi..Kamal is great as big brother... The fight between brothers at one point is so natural and it feels like "Seethamma vaakitlo" was made in 70's ..Overall theres rarely a boring moment.. the length is justified and is no hinderance as the content is strong.. it is kind of roller coaster .. Even locations and the music are fresh..

Its nice to see a lot of change in film making these days with a dozen of great films in last couple of years.. But #ARJUNREDDY is just like an outing once in a while and hope movies dont take the raw content from it and churn out many movies which mightly wrongly impact society... 

Watch it with no Kids ..

Baahubali2 the Conclusion Review

పెద్ద హీరోల సినిమాలకు అభిమానులు ఎంతో ఆతృతగా ఎదురుచూడటం మామూలే.. కానీ యావత్ సినీ అభిమానులు భాష కి అతీతంగా  "బాహుబలిని కట్టప్ప ఎందుకు చంపాడు.. " why kattappa killed Baahubali" అంటూ ఎంతో మురిపెంగా ఎదురు చూసేలా చేసి మన తెలుగు సినిమా ఖ్యాతిని ప్రపంచ దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లిన బాహుబలి నిజంగా మనకి ఎంతో గర్వకారణం .. మరి జక్కన్న రాజమౌళి మెదళ్ళు తొలిచేసిన ఆ ప్రశ్న అంతే అద్భుతమైన సమాధానం ఇచ్చ్చాడా  ??!!

No Spoilers : కట్టప్ప బాహుబలిని ఎందుకు చంపాడు తో పాటు బాహుబలి దేవసేనల ప్రేమ కథ ఈ రెండవ భాగానికి ప్రధమ ఆకర్షణ .. అలాగే శివుడుకి పెదనాన్న భళ్లాలదేవునికి అంతిమ యుద్ధం .. 

పాత్రలు .. 

భారతంలో పాత్రలు బట్టికొట్టడం కష్టమేమో కానీ బాహుబలి లో శివగామి.. కట్టప్ప దేవసేన పేర్లు ఇవాళ్టి పిల్లా పాపలు ఠకీ మని చెప్పేస్తారు 

అమరేంద్ర బాహుబలి ... ప్రభాస్ కి బాహుబలి పాత్ర రాసిపెట్టుందా ..బాహుబలికి ప్రభాస్ అనే నటుడు రాసిపెట్టునాడా .. అన్నంతగా కలగలిసి పోయాయి ఆ రెండు పేర్లు .. రాజసం .. ధీరత్వం .. దేవసేన తో ప్రేమ .. కట్టప్ప మామతో చమత్కారం.. అమ్మ మీద ఎనలేని గౌరవం .. ప్రజలంటే అమిత మమకారం .. అన్నింటిని సమంగా చేసి తెలుగు సినిమాలోనే ఓ గొప్ప కథానాయకుని పాత్రకు ప్రాణం పోసాడు ప్రభాస్ .. 

కట్టప్ప .. సత్యరాజ్ కి మారు పేరుగా మారింది .. హీరో తరువాత హీరో అంతటి బరువుంది కట్టప్పకి "2" లో .. కట్టప్ప చంపితే చూసే ప్రేక్షకుడి కంటి తడి రావాలని ఆలోచనతో కాబోలు.. ప్రతి క్షణం భాహుబలితోనే ప్రయాణం చేయించాడు దర్శకుడు .. అందుకు తగ్గట్టు సత్యరాజ్ ఎంతో హుందాగా అలరించాడు .. 

దేవసేన .. మొదటి సినిమాలో గ్లామర్ పరంగా నిరాశపరిచిన అనుష్క ఈ సారి అందంతో దిమ్మదిరిగేలా అదరగొట్టింది ..అభిమానం గల యువరాణిగా .. వీరోచిత నారిగా .. మాహిష్మతి మలినాలకు  ఎదురుతిరిగే యువతిగా .. ఇలా ఎన్నో షేడ్స్ .. అసలు దేవసేనగా అనుష్క మాత్రమే సరిపోతుంది అనేలా ఉంది ఆమె పాత్ర .. 

మొదటి భాగంలోని అవే ఛాయలని కొనసాగించింది శివగామి .. ఒక మంచి తల్లి పాత్ర కావటం వల్ల  ఒక పరిధి ఏర్పడింది .. కానీ ఆ పరిధి లోనే బాహుబలి మీద కోపాన్ని ..  అలాగే పశ్చాత్తాపాన్ని చక్కగా చూపించింది రమ్యకృష్ణ .. నాకు మాత్రం ఇప్పటికి నరసింహాలో నీలాంబరి ఆమె బెస్ట్ రోల్ . 

నాజర్ .. బిజ్జలదేవుడిగా కథ ముందుకు నడిచేందుకు బాగా దోహదపడ్డాడు .. 

హీరోకి సమానంగా .. ఇంకాస్త ఎక్కువగానే విలన్ ని చూపించటం రాజమౌళి అలవాటు .. కానీ భల్లాలదేవుడు పాత్రలో అంత క్రూరత్వం కనిపించలేదు  ..అందువల్ల రానా పాత్ర చాలా పాసివ్ గా అనిపించింది 

దేవసేన బావ కుమారవర్మ  గా సుబరాజు మంచి కామెడీ చేసి తరువాత సహాయపాత్రలో బాగున్నాడు .. రెండు సార్లు కనురెప్పలు అలా మూస్తే తమన్నా కనిపించకపోవచ్చు మీకు ఈ భాగంలో ... 

మొదటి సగం అద్భుతః .. రెండో సగం బాగుంది .. 

పేర్లు వేసేప్పుడు మొదటిభాగాన్ని బొమ్మలు ద్వారా చెప్పటం సూపర్ గా ఉంది .. ఇక ప్రభాస్ ఆగమనం సాహోరే బాహుబలి అబ్బురపరుస్తాయి .. ఎప్పుడు పగ .. ప్రతీకారం .. రౌద్రం .. మీద ఫోకస్ పెట్టె రాజమౌళి ఈసారి బాహుబలి - దేవసేనల ప్రేమని ఏంటో గమ్మత్తుగా .. చాలా అందంగా చూపించాడు .. హంస నావ పాట చాలా బాగుంది.. అలాగే కృష్ణుని జోల పాట సందర్భం లిరిక్స్ చాలా బాగున్నాయి .. మొదటి సగంలో కుంతల రాజ్యంలో జరిగే యుద్ధం ఆసాంతం హైలైట్ .. మొత్తంగా మొదటి సగం అమేజింగ్ అంతే .. 

ఇక రెండవ భాగంలో మన ముఖ్యమైన ప్రశ్నకి సమాధానం .. బాహుబలి కట్టప్పని చంపే కారణం మరియు ఆ చంపే సన్నివేశం . అభిమానుల రెండేళ్ల అలుపెరుగని ఎదురుచూపుల ఆకలిని తీర్చేంత కిక్కు ఇవ్వలేదని అనిపించింది .. అలా అక్కడ కొంచెం నెమ్మదిగా .. తరువాత కొంచెం పరుగులు తీసినట్టుగా అనిపించింది .. దేవసేన-శివగామి పాత్రల మధ్య సంఘర్షణ చాలా బాగుంది .. చివరి యుధ్ధంలో  రాజమౌళి తరహా గూసిబంప్స్ కి కొదవలేదు ... ఎందుకంటే అక్కడ దేవసేన పేర్చిన చితి .. అలాగే భళ్లాలదేవుని భారీ విగ్రహం లాంటి సాధనాలు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నాయి .. 

తెర వెనుక దాగున్న వారికి పాదాభివందనాలు .. 

ఇంత పెద్ద యజ్ఞానికి సంకల్పించి ఎంతో వినూత్నంగా విస్తృతంగా ప్రచారం చేసిన శోభు-ప్రసాద్లకు .. అహర్నిశలు శ్రమించిన నేటి తెలుగు మేటి దర్శకుడు రాజమౌళిగారికి .. సంగీత దర్శకులు కీరవాణి గారు.. అత్యద్భుతమైన సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్ సెంథిల్ ఇలా ఎందరో మహానుభావులు .. అందరికి వందనాలు .. బాహుబలిని ఓ పండుగగా మలచినందుకు ... 

రేటింగ్ : 80/100 ( నేను 100 కి 100 అని ఊహించుకున్నాను ..:) ఆకాశమంతటి అంచనాలని అందుకోవటం అంత సులభం కాదు .. వాటిని దాదాపుగా అందుకుని మన తెలుగు సినీ గౌరవాన్ని మరింతగా పెంచి చరిత్రలో కలకాలం నిలిచిపోయే కలికితురాయి "బాహుబలి" .. సాహో 

Ghazi - Short Review

Finally I was able to watch the critically acclaimed GHAZI in theatre. It is one of its kind movie, a first Indian movie on submarine war between India and Pakistan. It deals on how Indian Submarine with limited resources and several hardships attacks Pakistan’s PNS Ghazi .

Director Sankalp Reddy did an extensive research and tries to explain the intricacies of Submarine very clearly.. as how radio code is decoded.. What is the maximum depth possible for submarine..  Launching the Torpedo’s (Missiles). He created a conflict between two officers Captain Rann Vijay Singgh and Commander Arjun and moved the proceedings well in first half.. Second half is much gripping and emotional.

KK Menon and Atul Kulkarni bring their experience to put in great performance. Rana shines brilliantly in his role and adds a new feather to his cap.Tapsee, Satyadev,Bharath, Ravi Varma are apt.  Music by K aptly supports the mood of the film. Madhi’s cinematography is extraordinary and so are the Visual effects. They are nothing short of Hollywood flicks. PVP cinema gets accolades for believing the script..

Overall Ghazi is very good watch and brings in high respect for our soldiers..

భక్తి సినిమాలకి బ్రాండ్ అంబాసిడర్ వంటిది మన రాఘవేంద్ర రావు - నాగార్జున కలయిక అని అన్నమయ్య - రామదాసు నిరూపించాయి .. ఇప్పుడు " ఓం నమో వెంకటేశాయ " అంటూ హాథిరామ్ బావూజీ గారి కథతో మరో సారి ముందుకొచ్చ్చారు .. 

కథ - తిరుపతి క్యూ కాంప్లెక్స్ వద్ద ఖఛ్చితంగా మనం వెంకటేశ్వర స్వామీ హాథిరామ్ బావూజీ తో పాచికలు ఆడే విగ్రహం చూసే ఉంటాం .. ఆ ఆట చుట్టూ అల్లుకున్న ఓ చిన్న కథని ఆధారంగా అల్లుకున్న సినిమా ఇది .. 

పాత్రలు .. 

అన్నమయ్య అప్పుడు ఎలా చేస్తాడో ఎవరూ ఊహించలేదు .. అద్భుతం అనిపించాడు .. రామదాసు అలవోకగా చేసాడు ..శిరిడి సాయి గా మెప్పించాడు .. ఇక హాథిరామ్ గా అతి సునాయాసంగా పరకాయ ప్రవేశం చేసేసాడు అక్కినేని నాగార్జున .. భక్తి పాత్రల్లో నాన్నని మించి నటించి  .. సినిమా మొత్తం తన మీద మోశాడు 

సౌరభ్ జైన్ శ్రీవారి గా చాలా చక్కగా కుదిరాడు 

కృష్ణమ్మ గా అనుష్క మొదటి సగం వరకు ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది.. రెండో సగానికి ఇరికించినట్టు ఉంటుంది .. 

రావు రమేష్ విలనీ బాగుంది .. బ్రహ్మానందం , జబర్దస్త్ బాంగ్, రఘుబాబు , వెన్నెల కిషోర్  కామెడీ బానే ఉంది .. ఎక్కడ విసిగించలేదు .. ఓ చిరునవ్వు ఇస్తాయి 

వీరి కామెడీ కంటే .. ప్రేమ పాటల కోసం రాఘవేంద్రుని పాట్లు నవ్విస్తాయి .. కేవలం ఓ పాట కోసమే ప్రగ్య జాస్వాల్ నాగార్జున మరదలిగా ఓ పాటని కల కంటుంది .. బట్ ప్రగ్య సినీ జీవితం లో ఓ అందమైన పాట ఇదే అవుతుందేమో ..ఇక జగపతిబాబు అనుష్క తో పాట కోసమే అతిధి పాత్రలో మెరుస్తాడు .. రాజుగా సంపత్ రాజ్ , గరుడుని గా అజయ్ బాగున్నారు 

హై లైట్స్ 

సినిమా మొదలు నుంచి కీరవాణి సంగీతం వెన్నుముక్కగా నిలుస్తుంది ... బాలుని గా హాథిరామ్ దేవుణ్ణి వెతకటం.. తిరుపతి చేరటం .. విలన్లతో పోరాడి ఆలయాన్ని చక్కగా మలచడం అన్ని బాగా కుదిరాయి .. ఎప్పుడో శ్రీ వెంకటేశ్వర మహత్యం లో చెప్పిన  తిరుపతి స్థల కథ ( భృగు మహర్షి అహంకారం -- స్వామి కిందకి రావటం) ఇన్నాళ్లకు రాఘవేంద్రరావు చేతుల మీదుగా మళ్ళీ చూడటం బాగుంది ..

ఏడుకొండలు స్వామి హాథిరామజీ  తో పాచికలాడే ప్రతి సన్నివేశం అత్యద్భుతం అనిపిస్తాయి  .. అలాగే శ్రీవారికి నిత్య కళ్యాణం జరిపించటం చాలా బాగుంది .. శ్రీవారికి వెన్న సేవ.. శేష వస్త్రం , కలియుగ వైకుంఠం , కుబేరుని అప్పు ఇలా చాలా ప్రస్తావనలు కొన్ని విశేషాలు తెలిపేలా మాటలు రాసారు భారవి .. ఇక S గోపాల్ రెడ్డి గారు  మహాబలేశ్వరం కొండల్ని చాలా అందంగా చూపించారు .. 

ఇవి లోటు పాట్లు .. 

కథ చిన్నది కావటం తో ఎన్ని విశేషాలు కలిపినా .. కూరలు ఎక్కువ ఉండి అన్నం తక్కువ ఉంది అనిపిస్తుంది .. అనుష్క పాత్రని రెండో సగంలో బాగా ఇరికించినట్టు ఉంది .. అన్నమయ్య లో అద్భుత పతాక సన్నివేశం చూసాం కాబట్టి .. ఈ చిత్రం ముగింపు పోలికతో కూడిన నిరాశ అనిపిస్తుంది .. అలాగే అన్నమయ్య .. రామదాసుల్లో ఉన్న ఎమోషనల్ పీక్స్ ఇక్కడ కనిపించలేదు .. 

చివరగా .. 

కొన్ని లోటు పాట్ల కంటే హై లైట్స్ ఎక్కువగా మెప్పిస్తాయి .. చిత్రం ఆద్యంతం సంగీతభరితంగా ఉల్లాసపరుస్తుంది .. ఆ ఏడుకొండల  స్వామీ స్థల విశేషాలు అందిస్తూ వినోదాన్ని ఇవ్వటం  "ఓం నమో వెంకటేశాయ " ప్రత్యేకత ..

సంక్రాంతి అంటే సినిమాకి తోలి పండగ .. నిన్నటి టాప్ స్టార్స్ చిరంజీవి , బాలకృష్ణ తమ ల్యాండ్ మార్క్ సినిమాలతో తలపడడం ఈ సంక్రాంతి ప్రత్యేకత .. నిన్న ఖైదీ సందడి చూసాం .. నేడు గౌతమీపుత్ర శాతకర్ణి వంతు .. 

కథ : యావత్తు భారత దేశాన్ని ఒక తాటిపైకి తీసుకురావాలని శాతకర్ణి తపన .. తన కలని .. తల్లి గౌతమికి చేసిన ప్రతిఘ్నని .. భార్య వాసిస్టి అలకని ఎలా నెగ్గుకొచ్చ్చాడు అనేదే శాతకర్ణి కథ .. 

శాతకర్ణి భళాలు .. 

మనసుకు హత్తుకునే చిత్రాలు తీసే క్రిష్ తో తెలుగు వీరుడు శాతకర్ణి కథ ని ఎంచుకోవటంతోనే బాలయ్య సగం విజయం సాధించారు .. చారిత్రాత్మక పాత్రలో తనకి చక్కగా నప్పే డైలాగులతో .. వీరత్వం నిండిన ఫైట్స్ తో .. తన ప్రత్యేకతని చాటుకున్నాడు .. ఆద్యంతం హుషారుగా సాగిన పాత్ర అభిమానుల్ని విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది .. 

హేమమాలిని పాత్ర హుందాగా అనిపిస్తే , శ్రీయ వాశిష్టి గా చక్కగా ఇమిడిపోయింది . శివరాజ్ కుమార్ బుర్ర కథ బాగుంది 

యుద్దాలు మాటలు.. 

సినిమా ఆరంభంలో పడవల మీద పోరాటం అబ్బుర పరుస్తుంది .. ఇంటర్వెల్ లో నేహాపనా (కబీర్ బేడీ) తో పోరాటం ఒక ఇరవై నిమిషాల పాటు కళ్లప్పగిచ్ఛేలా చేస్తుంది ... క్లైమాక్స్ లో పోరాటం కూడా మెప్పిస్తుంది .. అయితే కొన్ని పోరాట సీన్లు అవే అవే మల్లి వాడారు ..బడ్జెట్ నియంత్రణ కనిపిస్తుంది .. 

అంజనీ పుత్ర క్రిష్ .. తనకి ఉన్న అతి తక్కువ వ్యవధి లో అన్ని విభాగాల నుంచి మంచి పనితనం రాబట్టాడు .. 

సాయి మాధవ్ బుర్రా మాటలు ఎన్నో చోట్ల చప్పట్లు కొట్టిస్తాయి .. ఇంటర్వెల్ లో రాజ్యాల పేర్లు చెప్పే భారీ డైలాగు .. చీమ ఏనుగు కథ .. అమ్మ గొప్పతనం చెప్పే మాటలు .. ఇలా ఎన్నో ఆసాంతం ఉన్నాయి .. 

ఇంకా కొంచెం ఉండుంటే 

సంక్రాంతి అనే గడువు లేకుండా ఉంటె కథలో ఇంకొన్ని మలుపులు పెట్టె అవకాశం ఉండేదేమో .. కథ గా చెప్పుకుంటే డైరెక్టర్ చెప్పింది చాలా చిన్న కథే .. యుద్దాలు కానీ సన్నివేశాలు తక్కువే అయినా కొంచెం నెమ్మది గా అనిపిస్తుంది .. చిరంతాన్ భట్ నేపధ్య సంగీతం ఇంకా బలంగా ఉండాల్సింది 

చివరగా .. 

బడ్జెట్ .. సమయం పరమైన కొన్ని తప్పులను క్షమిస్తే .. శాతకర్ణి చాలా వరకు ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది .. ఓ మంచి సినిమా చూసాం అనే సంతృప్తి ని ఇస్తుంది .. మన తెలుగు వాడి సత్తా అత్యద్భుతం అనిపిస్తుంది .. బాలయ్య 100 వ సినిమా ప్రత్యేకమైనదిగా నిలిచిపోతుంది ..

After the Demonetization by Modi Government, Movies are getting postponed.. but Nikhil's Ekkadiki potaavu chinnavaada #EPC dared to release this week.. With huge number of Ghost stories churning out almost every alternative week.. lets see what difference it has...

Basic Plot : Arjun was once cheated by his girl friend Ayesha as he waits at the registrar office for the marriage... Now Go Four years later .. he finally likes other girl "Amala".. but she too leaves him all of sudden.. Is it a co-incidence?.. fate? or something Super Natural!!??.. you have watch this on screen..


Nikhil proved once again that he has great pinch at story selection... He shows lot of variance between story now and before 4 years.. He has evolved lot as actor..

Girls have good amount of screen space and impact in this movie... 
Hebah Patel takes care of the glamour department.. Nanditha Swetha is surprise element and scores big with great performance.. She is the crux of the movie and she delivers it in style.. Avika Gor is so convincing and leaves impact in short role...

Vennala kishore excels again.. and so are heroes friends and pradeep.. Rajamouli's Baahubali and Pawan kalyan references are sprinkled all over..

A Different Ghost Story...
Frankly I don't like ghost stories.. but this is more a thriller and stands apart from regular stuff where a stupid flashback and a ghost haunting the old mansion.. 

The director VI Anand should be appreciated for bringing the difference.. here the audience connect with the ghost so much and they feel that Ghost should stay back.. There are no scary faces at all but the thrilling nature is maintained.. Story is developed so nicely using the names of the girls and connecting them without confusion.. And a pure inherent love story ..

Liked the locales of Kerala and "Chirunaama" Song and the background score in other departments..

Janatha Garage Movie Review

With Biggies disappointing this Summer.. All eyes are now on one of the most awaiting movies this year “Janatha Garage” Both NTR and the director Koratala Siva gave two back to back hits.. So expectations are sky high on this JG where Malayalam superstar Mohanlal played a prominent role.

Just the Plot : Satyam(Mohanlal) comes to city from a small village to open a mechanic shop “Janatha Garage”. He realizes the need for support for people and he and his loyal will stand against all ills of society.. Now whats the connection between the Environmental student Anand(NTR) and his journey towards the Janatha Garage forms the crux of the movie.

NTR has ripened as real actor.. It is very surprising transformation from his last two movies Temper and Naannaku Prematho.. he is not asking his directors to have forcible commercial elements .. but is more inclined to story based concept movies.. It makes him closer to all sections of audiences very much. He has given subtle act and adds a completely different role of environment student to his portfolio and stands tall beside National awardee Mohanlal himself.

Mohanlal.. we will realize why he is such a great actor.. because he never even acts or seems like acting.. he just lives on the screen.. He is not loud and plays the prominent role with no noise and you see him as only “satyam” on screen.

Samantha is cute as usual but is only limited to first half. Nithya menon surprisingly gets better portion.. but all the glamour is snatched by Kajal in her item number.. Errrr… sorry Special appearance in “Pakka Local”

Devayani, SaiKumar, Brahmaji, Ajay, Benarjee, Suresh, Sitara, Sachin Kelkar and Unni Mukundan all are very good in the movie .

Siva Koratala balances the Social message with the Commercial aspects yet again after Srimanthudu.. He conveys the responsibility towards the nature via NTR and he delivers the message of helping the fellow human being in need via Mohanlal’s character. He then brings both the actors together so smoothly and balances their act very effectively on screen.. A lot of scenes portray his writing skills like Rajeev kanakalas government office episode, family re-uniting episode and few scenes on Saikumar.

DSP songs are good on screen with effective lyrics from Ramajogayya sastri garu, be it “Pranaamam” to nature or chilling “Rock on Bro” or Jai ho Janatha.. or Massy “Pakka Local”.

Only drawback is.. missing entertainment in terms of loud comedy which is playing major part in lot of hit movies..

Koratala consistently maintains single tone and do not give chance to that hair raising moments or punch dialogues. Janatha Garage strictly sticks to its concept and Action episodes are nicely placed in between.

So Don’t expect the loud entertainment and do watch Janatha Garage for it being honest and good film .

"నువ్వే కావాలి ".. "ఆనంద్"  "వెన్నెల".. మొదలుకొని మొన్నటి "స్వామీ రా రా ".. "కార్తికేయ" .. "అలా మొదలైంది " "ప్రేమ కథ చిత్రం " "క్షణం" ఇలా ఎన్నో చిన్న గా మొదలైన సినిమాలు పెద్ద విజయాలు సాధించాయి .. వీటన్నింటిలో ఓ కామన్ విషయం ఏమిటంటే .. " ఈ సినిమాని కూడా థియేటర్లో ఎం చూస్తాం లే " అన్న ఆలోచన నుంచి  "ఈ సినిమా హాళ్ళో చూడాల్సిందే " అంటూ మానని ముందుకు తోసిన సినిమాలే .. ఇప్పుడు "పెళ్లిచూపులు" అచ్ఛం అలాంటి ఆణిముత్యమే 

సింపుల్ స్టోరీ : ఓ తప్పు అడ్రస్ ద్వారా జరిగిన పెళ్లి చూపులు .. ఆ అబ్బాయి .. అమ్మాయి జీవితాలని ఎంత అందంగా మలుపు తిప్పాయో అనే కాన్సెప్ట్ "పెళ్లిచూపులు"

దూద్ కాశీ అబ్బాయి .. దుమ్ము రేపాడు .. 

"ఎవడే సుబ్రహ్మణ్యం" లో రిషి గా మెప్పించిన రిషి అలియాస్ విజయ్ దేవరకొండ .. ఇంజనీరింగ్ పూర్తి చేసి అయోమయం లో ఉన్న సగటు యువకుడి నుంచి తన అభిరుచి వైపు అడుగులు వేసి విన్నర్ గా నిలిచిన "ప్రశాంత్" పాత్ర లో ఒదిగిపోయాడు .. ఇంతకు ముందు వేసిన దూద్ కాశీ పాత్ర ప్రేక్షకులకి తొందరగా రిజిస్టర్ అవ్వటానికి ఉపయోగపడింది .. ఇలాంటి విభిన్న సినిమాలని ఎంచుకుంటూ పొతే "నాని"  అంతటి వాడయ్యే అవకాశం ఉంది .. 

"రీతువర్మ" తిను కూడా చూడగానే కొంచెం ఆనంద్ లో  "కమలిని" గుర్తొస్తుంది .. అదే తరహా స్వతంత్ర భావాలున్న పాత్ర "ఛైత్ర"గా అందం అభినయం తో ఆకట్టుకుంది  .. 

ఇక సర్ప్రైస్ చేసింది మాత్రం "నా శావు నే చస్తా .. నీకెందుకు " అంటూ ట్విట్టర్ ట్రెండ్ అయిపోతున్న కొత్త డైలాగు చెప్పిన "కౌశిక్" పాత్రలో ఇరగదీసిన ప్రియదర్శి అనే హైదెరాబాదీ కుర్రాడిది .. మీరు గమనిస్తే ఆ పైన మనం చెప్పుకున్న సినిమాలు కొందరు కమెడియన్స్ కి సూపర్ లైఫ్ ఇచ్చాయి ( వెన్నెల కిషోర్ , తాగుబోతు రమేష్ , సప్తగిరి )

మిగతా పాత్రల్లో కొన్నింటిని ఇదే తరహా సినిమాల్లో మనం చూసాం .. లైక్ అనీష్ కురువిల్లా , హీరో తండ్రి, హీరోయిన్ డాడీ .. 

నా చావు నే చస్తా నీకుందుకు .. 

ఇప్పుడే కాలేజీ నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చిన వారైనా .. IT జాబుల్లో పొడిచేసే వారైనా .. ఎపుడో ఒకప్పుడు .. మన హీరో బ్యాచ్ లా " ఎం చేస్తున్నావ్ " అనే ఓ చెత్త క్వశ్చన్ face చేసే ఉంటారు .. ఆ ప్రశ్నకి ఓ మాంచి సమాధానం ఇచ్చింది "పెళ్లిచూపులు" .... 

అలాగే తరుణ్ భాస్కర్ అభిరుచి-కృషి తోడైతే ఆకాశమే హద్దు అనే సందేశాన్ని .. ఎక్కడా బోర్ కొట్టకుండా బోలెడన్ని గమ్మత్తైన సన్నివేశాలతో ( కాల్ సెంటర్ .. ప్రాంక్ వీడియోస్ .. కుకింగ్ .. ) అంతర్లీనంగా ప్రేమ కథని చక్కగా చెప్పి మొదటి ప్రయత్నంలో శభాష్ అనిపించుకున్నాడు . వివేక్ సాగర్ అందించిన సంగీతం .. DOP నగేష్ బన్నెల్ .. అలాగే క్రిస్ప్ గా ఎడిట్ చేసిన రవితేజ గిరజాల .. అందరూ తమ వంతు సాయం చేశారు

Gentleman Movie Review

"Nani" is on full swing for both commercial success and great acclaim for his acting skills.. And he teamed up with his mentor Mohan Krishna Indraganti who directed his debut "Asta Chemma".. Sridevi movies banner which delivered all time classics like "Aditya 369" produced this film.

Plot: The two heroines of the movie "Aishwarya" and "Catherine" meet in the plane and they share their individual love stories. "Nani" is the hero in both of them..  So now the movies latter half has to say.. Whether there are two Nani's or one Nani.. and whether he is a "Gentleman" or a "Villain"??

"Nani" has already proved himself as natural star. He is carefully choosing different movies one after another. I don't say this is his best... but He has done good job in two different shades.

Both the girls Surabhi and Niveditha are given good roles. Surabhi has got nice love track while Niveditha has done splendid job in latter half. Srinivas avasarala is convincing. Vennela Kishore brings few laughs.

Indraganti MohanKrishna and Manisharma..

Along with the production house, It is a good comeback for the director and music magician. Indraganti has good films like "Grahanam" and "Asta Chemma". I personally like his "Mayabazaar".   First half of the film is pleasant with two love stories . Kodaikanal episode stands out for the scenic nature that is captured greatly by PG Vinda. Second half turns into suspense mode where motivations of the hero are revealed at climax.  This half should have been more thrilling and Climax too was not stunning but just satisfactory.

Manisharma is back with the bang with two good duets.. "Chaligaali chooddu" will be instant favorite. Background score is of course top notch.

Finally..

A different attempt by Nani and Indraganti garu . A much tighter second half and more surprising climax would have made this "Gentleman" a "Great Thriller".. which now can be treated as just a good effort and a time pass flick.

అ ఆ ... తేట తెలుగులోని తోలి రెండు అక్షరాలాని ఓ సినిమా పేరు గా చేసినందుకు త్రివిక్రమ్ గారిని ముందుగా అభినందించాలి .. అలాగే ఆ పాత మధురం "మీనా " నేటి తరం ప్రేక్షకులకు అందించిన్నందుకు మరో సారి హాట్స్ అఫ్ చెప్పొచ్చు .. ఆనాటి కృష్ణ విజయనిర్మల చేసిన పాత్రలు నేటి తరం నితిన్ సమంతా లు ఎలా చేసారో ఓ నాలుగు మాటల్లో .. 

కథ : ధనవంతురాలు మహాలక్ష్మి(నదియ) కూతురు అనసూయ(సమంతా ) .. తల్లిదే మొత్తం పెత్తనం .. ఆమె లేని సమయం లో తండ్రి రామలింగం (నరేష్) కూతురిని వాళ్ళ మేనత్త ఇంటికి పంపిస్తాడు .. అక్కడ తన బావ(నితిన్) ని ప్రేమించి ఎలా మమ్మీ ని ఒప్పించి పెళ్లి చేసుకుంటుందో అనేదే అ ఆ 

నితిన్ .. ఇప్పటి హీరోల్లో టాప్ డైరెక్టర్స్ రాజమౌళి V.V.వినాయక్ , పూరి జగన్నాథ్ ,.. ఇప్పుడు త్రివిక్రమ్ ఇలా అందరితో చేసిన ఏకైక హీరో .. కొంచెం బెరుకు ఉండే నితిన్ నుండి మంచి కామెడి ని .. అలాగే క్లైమాక్స్ లో మంచి నటనని చక్కగా రాబట్టారు త్రివిక్రమ్ గారు .. ఇప్పుడు మనం పాత సినిమాలు ఎలాగో చూడట్లేదు కాబట్టి ఇది కృష్ణ గారు చేసిన పాత్ర అని ఎవరు పొల్చరు .. నితిన్ ఈ సినిమాతో ఒక వంద మెట్లు ఎక్కువ ఎక్కేసాడు అనేయోచ్చు .. 

సమంతా .. ఇప్పుడున్న హీరోఇన్స్ తో పోల్చుకుంటే మంచి నటి .. అలాగే మంచి పాత్రలు ఆమెని వెతుక్కుంటూ రావటం ఆమె అదృష్టం .. మనం తరువాత బెస్ట్ రోల్ ఇది తనకి .. అనుపమ పరమేశ్వరన్ చాలా చిన్న పాత్ర . నదియా అత్తారింటికి దారేది రిపీట్ చేసింది .. 

రావు రమేష్ గారు సినిమా సినిమాకి ఓ కొత్త కోణం చూపిస్తూనే ఉన్నారు .. నరేష్ గారికి కలిసొచ్చిన రోల్ ( బార్య చాటు భర్త ) ..కామెడీ కి రెగ్యులర్ కమెడియన్స్ ని కాకుండా కథలో పాత్రలు ప్రదీప్, శ్రీనివాస్ అవసరాల , పోసాని, సన, శ్రీనివాస రావు  తో చక్కగా లాగించేసారు ..

ఏదో కొరియా నుంచో ఫ్రెంచ్ నించో కాకుండా మన పాత సినిమా రీమేక్ హక్కులు కొని చక్కగా కొత్త రంగులు అద్ది ఇప్పటి ప్రేక్షకులతో చప్పట్లు కొట్టించడం చాల గొప్ప విషయం .. ఎందుకంటే ఎంత తవ్విన తరగనంత గొప్ప కథలు మనకెన్నో ఉన్నాయి .. మధ్య మధ్య లో సాగ తీటా గా రవ్వంత చాదస్తం చూపించినా .. ఎన్నో డైలాగు చమ్మక్కులు .. ఇప్పటికే బాగా పాపులర్ అయిన " వాచ్ ఉన్న ప్రతి ఓడు టైం ఒస్తుంది అనుకుంటాడు కాని జస్ట్ టైం తలుస్తుంది " " మీరు పులి సార్ కాని పులిహొర లో పులి " ఇలా చాల ఉన్నాయ్ .. చివర నితిన్ చెప్పే నాలుగు ముక్కలు సూపర్ .. 

మిక్కి జె మేయర్ అందించిన బెస్ట్ ఆల్బమ్స్ లో అ ఆ ఎప్పటికి ఉంటుంది "యా యా /గోపాల గోపాల " అండ్ " ఎల్లిపోకే శ్యామల" ఎవర్గ్రీన్ పాటలు అయిపోతాయి .. నటరాజన్ సుబ్రమణ్యన్ కెమెరా పల్లె అందాలని కనువిందుగా చూపించాయి 

ఫైనల్ గా 

ఒకప్పటి కథే .. కొంచెం కొంచెం లాగ్ ఉన్నపటికీ చాల చోట్ల నవ్విస్తూ .. చివరికి మెప్పించే .. టైం పాస్ చేసే సినిమా అ ఆ ..

Brahmotsavam Movie Review

Superstar Maheshbabu first time with three heroines.. Successful combination of the director Srikanth Addala and the prestigious PVP banner producing it .. And tons of star cast, can there be a better package for this summer, and that's called true "Brahmotsavam"

Just the Plot: Sathyaraj believes in togetherness and lives jointly with his wife Revathi’s four brothers. Eldest of them Rao Ramesh can’t tolerate his brother-in-law’s authority. And thus arises the tiff. How this is being resolved at the end forms the crux of the film…

Maheshbabu…the time has stopped counting his age and he looks fresher and fresher by each film.. And thus no surprise as the three heroines in film crave for him. Thankfully Mahesh has given ample time for romance in this movie and every such scene is lovable… And then his attachment with his father is so touching that makes the interval scene spellbound. And the Climax entirely rests on Mahesh’s shoulder and I somehow liked the little cute dance moves in “Bala tripuramani”

Kajal is given the first half and she like old wine is so hot and shares nice chemistry with Mahesh. Liked the dialogues she has especially when taking leave from Mahesh.. Samantha comes in later half and snatches well the second part of the film … Mahesh and Samantha make a made for each other pair and their ease in comedy timing proves that . Thus Pranitha is swallowed by these two girls.. but she makes her presence felt with few lines she is given .

Sathyaraj steps into Prakashraj’s shoes this time and we know how great an actor he is…So easily dons the proceedings in the first half. Rao Ramesh’s role is like sequel to what he is done in previous Addala films and he is brilliant as the only bad among so many good people in the film (Rao gopala rao's animation is clever inclusion). Revathi and Jayasudha have given their best in competing roles. There exists several stars like Naresh,shiyaji shinde, Sudhakar and Saranya to name few.

Galore of Celebrations …

Last decade we had “Hum aapke hain kaun” or our “PelliSandadi” where there are lot of songs including all star cast and everyone dancing around.. First half gives that feel.. Mahesh-Kajal romance and this festivity fills up the screen with no air to flow in between and first half sails so smoothly. Rao Ramesh spills out audience mind at this juncture questioning the need for this excessive celebrations and then comes the break!!

Second half goes in little unstitched way when Mahesh tries to search his roots in different places in North India. Samantha’s presence here and Vennela Kishore’s comedy gives way to some sweet moments in this half. I felt Interval the best than the climax.

Overdose of “Manchitanam”

Who does not like that mouthwatering dessert that is served at the end of the dinner.. But what if only dessert is served all over the plate… there is such kind of feel we get while watching “Brahmotsavam” where excess of goodness and lot of “Manchi maata” are uttered every two minutes…

Good things are always good to have and everything about the family bonding is definitely need of the hour. Nice to know that details of our 7 generations stored in Kashi and to know about Lord Balaji and Lakshmidevi’s parents.

Mickey J Meyers songs are good though they were little abundant in first half. Thota tharani’s grandeur settings and Rathnavelu’s camera makes every frame so colorful and rich.

Finally…

It’s kind of mixed bag feeling at the end… where I received excess of goodness which gets preachy at times and half-baked second part. But there are lot to love about the beautiful love scenes and few heart touching moments and the brilliant casting and visuals..

24 Movie Review

Surya is one hero who have tons of guts to experiment and this director Vikram Kumar, a creative genius who has given awesome movies like “13B” “Ishq” and “Manam” in different genres. So this combination has caused super curiosity from the inception of “24” . Surya himself produced this magnanimous venture..

Plot: Sivakumar a scientist invents a watch that can help in time travel. His greedy brother Athreya kills him for that watch.. but misses the watch and Sivakumar’s baby boy Mani.. It all shifts to 26 years and what wonders that watch will do later on.. Should be watched definitely on Big screen..

Surya..Surya..Surya..

Yes Surya has done triple roles and brings perfection to each role.. Though Sivakumar is limited and Mani is regular stuff Surya did many a times.. It is Athreya that stuns everyone.. We believe in that there are really 3 different actors on screen and such is the dedication this actor has put into those characters.. “Athreya” is his best after “Ghajini”. Director Vikram made sure that best of scenes are created for Athreya.

Vikram has brought heroines of two past hit films to play in this film.. Nithya menon has small role.. but she is best choice for it. Samantha is gorgeous like every time.. and we are going to see her almost every weekend in the May..Surya ..Samantha share superb chemistry on-screen.

Saranya is at ease for the role of mother who raises Surya.. Girish Karnad is also present. Ajay gets meaty role as “Mithra” .. this combination too is good after “Ishq”

Time Travel.. Back and Forth..

If someone sees the story on paper.. it might seem not believable.. But it is Vikram who can serve the toughest of screenplays into very neat and perfect screenplay.. He takes care and shows minutest of things from how the Hero gets the key to open the Watch and how he cleverly uses it for his love track..

Interval scene is one of the extremely brilliant ones in cinema.. Though there is little fun missing in later part .. Film is tightly gripped and brings to time travelled Climax that ends in good way..

So once again we have to salute Vikram for presenting us different movie experiences..

AR Rehman’s background score artfully sinks into the films soul . He should have given more memorable and catchy numbers. Tirru has given eye catching cinematography.. Prawin Pudi editing is unmatchable for this kind of concept.. Only slight drawback is few prolonged scenes because back and forth.. and that doesn’t harm much if are already in love with what you see on the screen..

Final Say..

The combination of this genius Vikram Kumar and gutsy Surya lives up to more than the expectations and delivers a must watchable movie..
